I agree about falcons capabilties, you guys are missing my point. Straight out of the box with nothing else Omni is faster more complete.. you can write a whole album with it and sounds good. You aren't writing a whole album with Falcon and if you are it is taking a lot more time and more CPU. You can be jack of all trades or master of 1. Protection/ilok, no audio input because the company wants to sell 2 effect plugins and lack of global undo -1

Now you're just talking BS. I make complete tracks with only Falcon. Super simple.Wavegem wrote:I agree about falcons capabilties, you guys are missing my point. I'd rather use iLok then having a HUGE soundbank installed on my HDD from which i only use 5%.
Clearly you aren't the kind of user who likes to go deep. Which is fair enough. But these kind of sentences "you can write a whole album with it and sounds good. You aren't writing a whole album with Falcon and if you are it is taking a lot more time and more CPU" are bollocks. It depends on what one wants/needs. Which is obviously subjective.

I'm not sure why people keep going on about an audio input for Falcon, it's an instrument, neither Kontakt or Omnisphere have that feature?
I do agree it would be nice to have some more Falcon specific libraries that are not sample based.

Some of you guys act like you personally created Falcon. Taking this way to hard like it's your own flesh and blood. Jeez nitpicking my words not reading between the lines. I am literally typing on my phone.
MODULAR means audio input (they advertise "truely unlimited") FALSE
One of the most demanding CPU instruments and NO multicore support???
Have you finished creating a patch then by accident hit the minus button and deleted your patch!!!!
You guys want to tell me straight out of the box using NOTHING else that Falcon is complete?? You can write tracks quickly and they sound more complete/diverse than omnisphere? If you guys don't complain then they will never fix anything! Obviously I am a guy that doesn't go deep, cause I don't want to build every single sound from scratch.
UVI desperately needs more Falcon specific content, pushing this beyond what other synths can do. I have yet to see a plethora of examples. I want more building blocks programmed , more drums layered, more fm patches , literally if you can save a Preset more of them. Everyone needs to seriously complain so they do something about it. What good does it do defending them and not agreeing with me? Won't they just make more content??

Fair enough, no prob with it.Waregem wrote:...I want more building blocks programmed , more drums layered, more fm patches , literally if you can save a Preset more of them. Not defending anybody here, just trying to be fair as possible to what each brings functionality wise.

it doesn't allow for the same level of audio manipulation you've get with Falcon.
That is while not even taking into account all the rest Falcon is offering like already said everywhere within this thread.

Modular means ..what?? Hahaha..funny guy. You have modular houses, modular psu's, semi-modular synths, modular chemistry....Wavegem wrote:Some of you guys act like you personally created Falcon. It is a fully modular synth. Period. I would LOVE to see they adding audio input as a mod-source though, so i give you that. But really, you should grow up and learn some stuff

Relax kids, it's just an audio forum, no need to fight over who is more clever and less falconized, just calm down again.

I agree 100% with Sampleconstruct! Guys, please no need for all that drama!!! I think is good enough if we just post our issues (bugs, FR's, etc...) about the software and hope for some improvements in the future, unfortunately there is nothing else we can do at the moment and arguing is the last thing that is going to help.Sampleconstruct wrote:Relax kids, it's just an audio forum, no need to fight over who is more clever and less falconized, just calm down again.

Edit: Removed wall of text. I thought i was on to something but can't seem to reproduce it 100%. The thing is i got some random gui crashes while using the "eye" zoom in multisegment envelope with both Renoise and StudioOne. And another small thing: while right clicking to modulate e.g gain. The small tooltip window (db) remains even after you're done so you have to move your mouse over it again to get rid of it.

I discover new bugs:
1. Multisegments modulator Bipolar not working if modulation is going under value 0. I don't tested it much, but when PWM is modulated inside Wavetable oscilator with Multisegment / point modulation (I am sorry I forgot the name of the modulation
, i mean where you can add points and change curve of the line) and bipolar is on, PWM is not going in to minus value, only when modulation reach minimum value, PWM make jump to position minimum value and back.
2. Inside EffectRack, when I add Gain Matrix and right click on the 1.00 value, and click on the inspector (when menu from right click is opened), Falcon crash. Better written Falcon and DAW dissapear without any warning.

Oberheim 8000, i tried the second one while i was chasing my own bugs. I clicked on the inspector and also everything around just to be sure, i didn't have any crashes. (im using the vst) but i managed to reproduce my own gui crashes with StudioOne and Renoise (renoise was easier).Start falcon in default, add noise to keygroup (whitenoise), modulate gain with multisegment env. (no need to change env) Now, sometimes all it takes is clicking on the eye zoom symbol, and then exit the popup window. But i usually have to create a new layer with a new keygroup with the same settings as the previous one. And then i jumparound between the two layers and keep klicking on the "eye zoom" until something happens. I know this isn't an easy one, but i love to use the multisegment so i hope that this get found and fixed. I even updated my gfx drivers just to be sure

1. Multipoint modularot with bipolar, don't work properly for Wavetable index too. For pitch (keygroup), VA oscilator (PWM) work correctly. Not tested all possibilities.

2. It was inside DAW, now I tested only standalone Falcon and first time, if under menu you go to "Assign to macro" and leave this menu without close it, with opened assign to macro, and click on the inspector (you must have tree tab opened), to effect rack, Falcon crash.
Sometimes it don't crash, but when don't crash, create effect rack under Program, create chain and add gain matrix, and repeat the written steps. If this don't crash falcon, create effect rack inside layer, add gain matrix in to effect chain and repeat the written steps.
And I can't reproduce your problem with multi envelope.. Maybe you must write more detailed steps how to reproduce problem, or i must test it under daw.
