Just wish it didn't have that off greenish cast, something more neutral or bluer would look better

It's blowing the Model 15 app out of the water (beside Model's 15 MPE mode and better MIDI options).
I really don't know how hardware should sound but this sounds like pure electricity for me :D
I looked at Softube and Reaktor 6 but it's not for me.
You won't get maybe more "modern" modular sounds out of it, it's more for the Moog vintage feel. But i love it. You can build your own Minimoog, Model 15 up to something similar like a system 35 or 55 etc.
The plate reverb module sounds very very good too!
Sadly, it seems a bit unknown (i hope i'm wrong).
The developer seems to working further on GUI, new modules and cross platform. Sounds very good. I have no problem that it's not so open ended and limited in number of modules (and instances of different modules) since i don't think i ever coukd go further with the other modulars without breaking my cpu :)
I really hope we see more in the future from Pulsar Modular. It shows that an independent developer could do it even better as Moog (sadly will never get such amount of attraction from the crowd).
Been waiting for a decent Moog Modular emulation for a long time. Arturia's is good, but doesn't have the bottom end like the real thing. This looks like I will finally have what I'm after.
It's what lacks in the Model 15 (said that in the mobile forum) app. P900 has much more "oommpf".
Especially with high resonance and and the right envelope setting P900 also is fantastic for massive kick and drum sounds i couldn't get with Model 15 app while i find it a bit better for percussive sounds.
The model 15 app does loose all low end very early and fast at high resonance if you sweep the filter down....but i don't know which is closer to the original. Of course it also can have awesome bottom end but not so for fast drums and kicks. But the delay (which you can modulate also at audio rate) is much much better for me. I wish P900 had such a module.
And the general playability is just awesome in the app due to the MPE style modulations etc.
In this area Moog is the king!
If i understand it right, the P900 is mainly a software recreation of the Mos-Lab hardware which is a recreation of the Moog hardware.
But for my ears P900 is the best in general.
It also has a polyphonic mode (4 or 8 voices) via a single switch.
Edit: After trying a lot with FM modulation of filter, creating vowel like effects and such i´m not sure if P900 got the audio rate modulation. The Moog app sounds a lot better here.
So it seems i still would like both modulars for vintage analog feel.

I wonder when the Windows port will be with is realistically? For me, this is the most exciting synth I'm waiting for in 2017.
I think first comes the 1.1 update?
On facebook there are a bit more information (and i hate facebook).
I bought P900 finally (used the demo only) and it is the best (non-hybrid) synth i own now for me. It is not perfect and it still evolves and has some little quirks but the sounds is just great!
Maybe there will be even a multi-touch optimized version for windows 10? The developer seems to think about it.
It also has the best reverb in a synth for me on top. That might be a personal thing of course but the plate reverb just sounds so beautiful and high quality to me. You can´t modulate it but i can understand that.
The sequencing you can do is awesome too. Like said, it´s not open ended like Reaktor and you can´t use as much modules as you want but it has the right size for me to go pretty wild until my cpu break but without loosing the focus.
Great GUI, great sound, great possibilities....i hope a great future for the developer (which seems to be great too).

Just annoying that it won't even scan into Kore 2 though.

I have no clue about Kore 2 but maybe write the developer if he can do something about it?
(if you have not already)
But isn´t Kore 2 dead....so maybe NI is the bad guy....

I think he said somewhere it's just too out of date

O.k. then NI must take the ball :D
I can understand if a small independent developer can't support old stuff.
But i'm happy he seems the only one (or one of the very few) who used f.e. new stuff like Apple's metal api for the GUI to be smooth without killing the cpu and/or GPU compared to other bigger developers releasing unoptimized stuff.
This plug-in seems still very under the radar....sadly!
Now i know that it is even way beyond Moog's Model 15 app for me (it was my entree into liking modular synthesis due to easy of use and great inn-app tutorials).
I just hope we will get colored cables as well and the (promised) additionel more modern GUI.....as choice, not replacement.

Post

Kore was cool, but: Kore is dead, dead, dead! Blame NI! Nobody can think it reasonable to support old Kore stuff.

This synth sounds fantastic! I'm surprised it's not getting more attention but I assume it's because it's Mac AU only.

Why else?

I think also it's a one man show (at least a very small team at best)?
Also there was/is not build a hype via merketing etc.
The sound is just awesome (better than most of the famous brands) and i hope the developer has a bright future. Also the GUI is smooth as hell (zooming, scrolling, different sizes etc.) and support is great.
Still hoping for version 1.1. soon to get the VCO-921 and new GUI skins. Then i'm happy for a while (i'm already with this).

Awesome! Looking forward to that. Do you know if there is external audio input? Wishful thinking!

From my point of view Pulsar 900 is not only sounding very good, but is far more accessible for modular novices than e.g. Softube Modular or Reaktor Blocks (which nevertheless pretty cool products).
