Using a USB 2.0 header didn't solve my problem unfortunately.

So are there any more suggestions for a good audio interface? :)

EDIT: I'm thinking about picking up a Steinberg UR44. Anyone got any experience with that?

I guess you've probably done it already but filter by price at thomann and you'll see your choices. For what you want there's not many options.

I was going to go for the Steinberg UR22 before I decided on the Behringer. It seems that only those 2 companies have pretty much rock solid drivers. You get way more bang for buck with the Behringer's (and the pres are better than the Steinbergs form what I have gleaned from reviews) but both those companies interfaces will be solid choices. Tascam/M audio/Akai/Lexicon/Presonus have all got flaky drivers judging by internet searches (and I've personally had nothing but problems with Tascam and M audio interfaces in the past) which is why I narrowed it down to Steinberg and Behringer when I was looking for one.

Quite a bit out of your price range but something to consider if you can save up for it. The MOTU 624. Rarely ever had issues with MOTU drivers on a PC...actually, never had a crash due to drivers. If you can find it used, that may be a solution. It's USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt Compatible.

Focusrite makes great gear but their drivers are horrible, on some systems.
...and the electron responded, "what wall?"
