ugh. I really want imposcar, but it's so expensive. I'm well aware that my last 3 or 4 synth purchases, none of which are ultimately as good as imposcar, would have easily covered the cost, and I'm not happy with myself for it. definitely my next synth no matter what.

I believe it cost about more than $200 in the past days, but now it is less than $150.

if anybody wants the ImpOSCar 2 dedicated midi controller, all 15 kilograms of it is leaning up against a wall.

Yeah it packs a lot into a simple interface. Great for ma'ping to a midi controller like novation or nektar. Also you dont find many vintage emulations with polyphonic aftertouch modulation. And of course duophonic mode with ringmod is another great and rare feature in even complex synths.JerGoertz wrote:Not the newest or "sexiest" synth anymore, but it certainly holds its own against the Johnny-come-latelies. A damn fine instrument.

well, I should whine about my poor synth purchasing decisions more often. a kind soul who didn't use it anymore offered it to me at a price I was able to afford. how about that
best day ever - OMG it's so creamy and smooth
how is there possibly NOT a real stream of moving electrons somewhere in there, I'll never know. what an achievement.

I'm especially impressed that they achieved such a sound quality without incorporating ZDF filters, and all that modern schmuh (or did they?). Sounds very organic, and "alive", like you'd expect it from an analog.
