Quick question for Pro-R users. Does Pro-R have note divisions for pre delay time?

I should never have doubted Fabfilter's quality even for a second. Do you forgive me?Fleer wrote:About time
Yep! You can 'unlock' the predelay to switch from milliseconds to note divisions for just that little extra musicality to fit the reverb with the music. Nothing longer than a quarter-note though - no halves or wholes I'm afraid but those would be unrealistic pre-delay times anyway.billcarrol wrote: Quick question for Pro-R users. I do think Sparverb has something of its own going on - the Freeze would be great for instant intro drone, Lofi mode interests me, the preset 'Voyager' looks novel (shame you can't automate) and it does have a rather attractive GUI and solid, lush sound. It seems to be sort of in the VVV realm.plexuss wrote: I think Pro-R is a better general purpose reverb than Sparkverb. Spark has it's own thing going on, which is very very nice, but I dont think it's as versatile as Pro-R. So good choice but you may want to pick up Spark at some point for that sweet airiness it has.
Whereas Pro-R is not primarilly an ambient toolkit, so it does actually sound very realistic on a lot of settings but can do the big lush thing too. I like the way the modulation is subtle and there seems to have been a general push for high quality algorithm in a simple, beautiful interface rather than too many bells & whistles. I love the idea of 'Distance' and 'Space' being continuous controls and I guess that's also what sold me: automation friendliness. Valhalla Room is great but you can't blend seamlessly between room shape/size algorithms like this.

Well, if you set a quarter note to 200%, then you get a half note. No wholes though.MogwaiBoy wrote:Yep! Just wanted to share: A video of me using Pro-R to sculpt out a reverb tone. The decay EQ is unique and amazing and the visualizations are hypnotic as they are useful!

Pro-R seems to have some unique qualities to it, not just another reverb.SteveWZ wrote:Thanks, and one more....Fleer wrote:Very niceSteveWZ wrote:Another example of the Shimmer style reverb in Pro-R:

As a reverb junkie and long time owner of Fabfilter products, I purchased Pro-R when it was released. Overall, I have been extremely impressed with Pro-R and it has easily moved into one of my top 5 go-to reverbs at this time.
With Pro-R, it is so simple to dial-in a useful space within a mix.

I heard audio examples from another reverb which is just in development. But it can't be comparable to Pro-R. Neither in handling nor in sound. Fabfilter did an incredible job with this plugin! I felt in love with the decay rate eq and I'm probably gonna buy it.

hi, is it true still? i wonder cause they got a nice sale atmStuart T wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2016 1:23 am I like pro r but using it on drums makes them lose impact/punch however I set it whilst this doesn't happen with my other reverbs and I think this is because pro r has a 3d quality so my drums lose focus with it.

Didn't experience this. It's easy tweakable to fit. When working with it I experienced it's a different approach, but very likable. If I need more control about ER or certain sound properties I load up an Lexicon.Caine123 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 2:35 pmhi, is it true still? i wonder cause they got a nice sale atmStuart T wrote: Tue Dec 13, 2016 1:23 am I like pro r but using it on drums makes them lose impact/punch however I set it whilst this doesn't happen with my other reverbs and I think this is because pro r has a 3d quality so my drums lose focus with it.![]()

You have 2 lines in the big eq-like display. The yellow one actually is an eq, so you can lowcut the reverb (which makes these frequency areas uneffected). The blue one is the frequency dependant decay time.Caine123 wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2019 2:57 pm thx a lot im demoin it atm, but guess im too stupid i cannot find a setting to exclude a frequency area? e.g. everything shall be effected above 25hz and the rest dry

Pro-R for 61 EUR in my account... Damn, I have to demo it again (4th time).
Anybody still use this thing? Like actually use it? Or it's just a toy left in a corner?

Yup I do, all the time. I find it complements more Lex-ish reverbs like VVV very well. It's more natural/transparent and just gives air and 3d spatialization. Great if you want say, drum sounds to have a bit of space but not want to clog up the mix and the groove with too much reverb tail.e@rs wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:52 am Pro-R for 61 EUR in my account...
