I've recently bought (vinyle edition)
JON ANDERSON - Olias Of Sunhillow (1976)

the cover and sleeve art is just wonderful (that's why I bought it). The music is awful. I'm just can't listen to this album more than 5 minutes  but I guess this is a matter of taste :D btw, this is a true concept album
Surprisingly, there is 64 customer reviews at amazon, and it got 5 stars :D

I've also recently bought
PATRICK MORAZ - The Story of i (1976)

Much much better in my point of view. Lot of good percssions (brazilian style !) and keyboards. And also a true concept album I think

I was gonna say something else, but now my memory has been jogged, I'd have to go for Olias Of Sunhillow myself.

Sounds like what Jon & Vangelis *should* have sounded like, imo. Think I prefer it to anything of Yes'

I reckon modern electronic musicmakers ought to hire his voice out! It really works on ethereal stuff.

I bought the Deseo remixes hoping it'd be a Jon Anderson/electronic affair, but I never realised he didn't really sing on the orginals. Damn!

When I'm rich and can afford it, maybe.....

Did anybody mention this already?

IONA - The Book Of Kells
"... 72 minutes of stunning music, quite unlike anything else you're likely to hear anytime soon." CCM Magazine, October 1992

"Book of Kells touches something elemental, resonating as few albums can. Allow it to touch you as well." CCM Magazine (USA), November 1992

"Finally, the most evocative release of all ... Iona's ethereal 'Book of Kells' ... unbelievable." Billboard (USA), December 1992

Rush "Hemispheres" is my favorite album of all time, but I think "2112" is more of a "concept album" (and may be my second favorit album).

My favourite is probably a bit of an obvious choice and even a bit cheesy - but I really love War of the Worlds - I think this is not only the best concept album but is one of the best albums of all time...
Have a better one - Saul Cross :-)
