I'm getting a warning message from McAffe that the Reaper 5.3.3 download is infected.

Has anyone confirmed this?

Upload it on http://www.virustotal.com. If there is no other antivirus reporting something malicious, and if you downloaded it from the official Reaper site, it's most likely false alarm.

Nevermind, someone uploaded it on VirusTotal already, here's the result: https://virustotal.com/de/file/36378357 ... 487026263/ That's for the 64-bit installer of Reaper 5.3.3.

Infected really, or a potential risk ?

I believe he said infexted,,
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Nothing. :)

Experience shows: "Anti-virus" software causes more problems and confusion than it helps.

Oh boi... :P

To get this thread back on track, OP should:

1. State which site he downloaded Reaper from
2. State what kind of message he got from his antivirus, doing what. "Infected" doesn't tell anything.
3. Send in the installer to McAffee, if he suspects a false positive.
