Still waiting Dom.

waiting for what mate?

Waiting for someone to get back to me over support tickets.

You can't post potential bugs in the forum and he made a big deal in this thread about sending a support ticket.

Honestly, as much as I like using bitwig they are very very strange when it comes to actual issues.

whelp, i cant say i disagree considering i got banned outright from the bitwig forum for pointing out the windows 10 fullscreen bug, after they completely disregarded my complaint as being 'spam/rude,' and then a couple months later many were complaining about it  .

Also, I have not once received anything i could feasibly consider 'help' from sending a support ticket and have long given up on that as well.

You really got banned for simply pointing something out?

I've seen numerous users complain that Dom has threatened to ban or banned them outright, with 0 warning, 0 acknowledgement or reasoning given after being banned. Not only that, I contacted the bitwig team multiple times after asking for reasons as to why I was banned and they ignored every message.

Me personally, I was banned after I pointed out that the windows 10 anniversary OS was not fully compatible with bitwig, and has a few screen issues (which was fully true, in fact that was 6 months ago and they still haven't fixed it on any official version :hihi:  ).

So yes, if you see Dom's earlier posts (actually only within couple months ago lol) in the Bitwig forums you can see him say stuff like 'thanks for the comment, but unfortunate you have to criticize bitwig'. etc. He literally thinks he's infallible and criticism is worth banning, despite being the worst customer support rep. of any company I've ever seen.

I wish I would have known about this before I threw down $299 for a license a few weeks ago. Crappy support is pretty much a deal breaker for me. It's one thing to get frustrated with the support system, but when you get ignored that is maddening. I don't see anything on their site about refunds so I guess it's too late for me.

Oh, I get it now.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure that 1.3.15 is the only version I'll ever use and it's mostly good, but there are some serious tude issues with the team.

Some people just have control issues

For me, when I had Bitwig Studio 1.3, I haven't any problem with the support of Dom. I always had an answer from him regarding my problems, even though sometimes it didn't solve my hardware problem, but he tried always.

I had a problem with the midi latency from my blofeld keyboard. It was weird, as it doesn't always happens and not everyone had this problem. Dom tried to replicate the problem but he couldn't. I can't change my midi controller (it wasn't cheap for me), so I chose to sacrifice Bitwig.

I still miss it to be honest, but I moved on and have my main DAW working now besides Live intro and FL Studio Producer as clips/patterns based. I still have the 8-track version, however, but it has only support for two VSTi tracks which is not enough, as I prefer 3rd party instruments.

I'm not sure that I'm interested in a full version now, but if they release something like Live intro (with 16 tracks) and with reasonable price, I might buy it. I really don't need all that modulations/instruments staff, I barely can manage the modulations in my synths :hihi:

The things that I like a lot about Bitwig in addition to its workflow, is its interface and the clip launcher. The colours and fonts are clearer than Live. But for now, I would choose to upgrade to Live Standard rather than upgrade to Bitwig 2 from 8-track!

Anyway, the new price policy is not encouraging even to rethink of a possible return to Bitwig. Other users might find it OK, but not me :P

1.3.6 is better than 1.3.5 ;-)

I have been playing with 2 beta 2 - it's a hell of a lot of fun, the rack is next level, you really can make original instruments/fx, if you like modular you will love Bitwig 2. The right click tools is a welcome edition for me (being ex Cubase) and it looks great on my 4K display (although I hope they add some skin/colour options at some pint) and perhaps most importantly it seems very CPU efficent and very tight on timing.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

But, isn't 1.3.6 now "expired" ?
