The EQ is cool, much better than the usual ones included in synths :tu:

I like the synth, the only problem is the GUI, labels and fonts in general are tiny and contrast is lousy, red on dark blue, really? 8) Is there some hidden menu for increasing the GUI size?

Oops, when the 20 minutes were over, loading it anew lead to a permanent sound :P

There is possibly a different possibility than with credit card to pay

I'm adoring this piece and it's everything I had hoped for so far. The filter distortion is AMAZING.

I bought it yesterday. It's a great synth and I think it will become my new go to synth. I just a made a video on how to create custom wavetables for it if anyone is interested.

I can't wait for the official SM wavetable editor though. That old DOS GUIis killing me. I'm going to try to release a review of SM1 later. So far I'm loving it.

Interesting. So the wavetables aren't limited to 16 waveforms, like some other guy was saying in another thread. Does anyone know how many individual waveforms can make up a wavetable in Synthmaster One? Just to clear it up?

256 waves, if I'm not mistaken. Besides, you are not limited to Audio-Term (although it is a great tool and is free). If you have Serum and/or Icarus, you can create wavetables in each of them, and the exported audio file will be compatible with Sinthmaster One.

- I think the label semitone in the sub section should be changed to tune as it also serves to fine detune main and sub within the same semitone.

- The demo mode sucks, why that permanent tone after just 20 minutes? Not even loading a new instance changes that, I have to close the DAW. That's worse than with Tone2 stuff. Check out Synapse Audio's demo mode.

- The black keys should take on a light color when played, yellow or whatever.

- The travel of the envelope sliders is rather short, and they are anything but linear it seems. Setting the right value with long release times is fiddly. Harsh attacks seem to eat up half the slider travel.

- On a positive note, the sound as such is pretty nice.

See, this is what makes Synthmaster One suddenly hugely powerful, compared to other synths in its price range and category. I know Dune 2 can load in similar wavetables but I prefer SynthMaster One's interface and workflow (besides, Dune 2 is not far off from Serum's price). 256? If that really is the case, that's amazing.

If people have any links to free wavetable, please share. :hihi:

Google "download serum wavetables". They are fully compatible, and there are LOTS. :)

DMS Classic Analog Waves.

Cymatics Ultimate Serum Library also has wavetables as well as free Serum presets.

What i really miss a.t.m., is a fine (tune) knob for the sub osc's. Since they can be used as a mod source, it is quite finicky and way too sensitive to use the SEMI knob. Even with the SHIFT function.

You are mistaken.

Synthmaster One can only process 16 waves.
The same spec as Synthmaster 2.8.

Lets not get carried away and exaggerate Synthmaster One's spec.
