It's the fact that there was no warning of this change in licensing that is most annoying, had I known it would nuke Hypersonic I would have held back from jumping on it straight away.

I have suggested that they compensate Hypersonic users by opening up the addons as well.

You need to install a Direct2D update for Windows 7.
So it DOES work on Windows 7 ("we refuse the support" does not equal "unofficially working") - and no feature is missing. No refuse-to-launch like C8 if you didn't have AERO activated...

More and more contradictions... What are they even doing?! :dog:
Yes, it works under Windows 7. I said that since day ONE. And since they solved the problem with HALion 5 (they sent me a new license for it), HALion 5 is working alongside HALion 6, without any problems so far, which also contradicts what they state.

Clearly, Steinberg didn't try Windows 7, so, they have no idea what works and what not.
Working and supported are two very different things. Most music professionals....heck most PEOPLE want to know if something goes wrong with a new product they have support.

And you are stating the obvious why?

I think anyone here is aware of that. I said it is WORKING, not that it is supported (which is something that only Steinberg can decide upon). And we have been discussing that since the beginning of this thread.

Nice try to turn around what aumordia really meant. The trolling dude, the trolling. ;)

A re-synthesized/wave-tabled euphonium swell with flutter tongue articulation (from a studio recording of one of my compositions), the wavetable markers are synced to host tempo, a tempo-synced, re-triggering LFO (ramp up) modulates various things like formants/filter cutoff/detune.

I worked out a way to share ratings between Halion 6 and Halionsonic - the ratings files (mediabay3.db) are stored in \Users\username\Library\Preferences\Halion 6 or Halionsonic but they are separate files which is annoying as I wanted to not have to rate stuff twice. However if you trash one and replace it with a symlink to the other it enables them to share the same database. I would suggest making the Halion one the 'master' as it potentially has more libraries (eg for me I have Simon's).

Re-syntheszing/wave-tabling a speech recording (2 words -> my wife Andrea->actress) from a recent project with Halion 6, tweaking things on the fly live on video, laying out some chords, getting lost...
