Hi guys I am f**king pissed and frustrated. What is the best way to have a backing track play. Basically record synth tracks and loops and have them play along with my band.
I need a click going to the drummer. I was thinking of using a Quattro USB from my laptop, and having left pan be click and right be the tracks.
Any other ideas? Can this also be done with a Cd player (portable) if so how to I get the left and right?

I think you'll see a hardware mixing console (with 4 or more busses) will make life somewhat easier 
Then you can route each channel (left/right) to any destination you want. The cheap alternative is a left/right splitter thingy.
Dunno about your drummer, but our drummer needed his cans turned up VERY loud to be able to hear the click track while playing himself. Standard phones output of the pc was not sufficient, but a standard stereo amp did the trick.
