I've searched for the link here, and on Cakewalk's site, and STILL can't find it.

Anyone got the link for that thread that had benchmarks for different systems with Sonar?

if you look at the main test site with the graph the top 4 positions are all from amd 64 bit systems - the advantage they have only really seems to come into play at lower latencies tho - about 15% lower cpu than you would expect from my p4 2.8 - which is about right for the 3.2 rating for the athlon 64 i could afford - still tempted tho cos their will be some kind of perfomrance boost when the 64 bit os comes out - wont there ?

I suppose there should be, but when is the 64 bit OS coming out? Also compatibility issues with existing music software may also be an issue...hopefully not

Well, good performance at low latency is a real bonus for me.. Annoying to have to bypass fx to solo new stuff over a complex track. In any case, looking at the benchmarks on the tech sites, the Slot 939 Athlon 64 3500+ I'm about to build a system with should have comparable performance to an Athlon FX, at a fraction of the price of the top performers

I'll let people know how it performs when I get the goddamn Corsair RAM so I can build the bugger

Computer benchmarks on Cakewalk's site?
