Clearly you expect computers to solve all your problems... It's not nescessary to do the inversion in a software plugin. Just inverse polarity of either the microphone or the speaker. Or turn the speaker around, that will give a phase inversion also.

By experimenting you'll see the sound will never be cancelled out exactly but only gets louder. As stated before: exact cancellation at one location means amplification of noise at another location.

It might work in a helicopter cockpit, and I heard stories of noise reduction on lawn mowers, but then the reducing speaker is close to the source of the noise itself.
