Looks like i also finally found out what synthesizer the 7 Skies dude was talking about here, @ 28:40:

... as i saw that he also contributed wavetables, and sound for Synthmaster One. ;)

I'm going to guess that since that video is from early 2014, he was talking about Serum, which released that fall. He contributed presets and wavetables that come with the factory install. Also was Synthmaster One even an idea yet back then?

Gald to See SM ONE officially released! Can't wait to tear into it.

Yes I also think he was speaking of Serum.

Working with @Steve_Duda on his new synth "Serum", you cannot imagine how awesome it is!

He also spoke of Serum in a Sonic Academy vid.

You are correct, we have no relation with that guy. But having said that, a collaboration would be nice :D

One quick question - for 29 bucks Synthmaster One is kind of a no brainer, but still as I have Serum already, what can this wave-table synth bring to the table?

I have Serum and Synthmaster One. They sound very different even if you use the same wave table in both synths. There are some other differences in functionality as well but the most obvious is the sound difference.

I'd say the biggest thing is the sound. I don't have serum, but from what I've heard and what people have said, it sounds very digital and sometimes harsh. SMOne, although not VA, sounds warmer to me and it isn't difficult to get VA sounds from it. Check the demo yourself. I think there is a good mix of analog and digital presets for it and using the filters, drift, analog single cycles, etc it is easy to get warm round sounds.

Anyone using Ableton get the drag and drop midi file on arp to work, without the synth resetting parameters oddly?
I guess this is the official release and not beta? Its a decent priced synth and sounds good though. This needs to be fixed still though.

I'm wondering, WHY, on on both demos of the 2 Synthmaster versions, does the macbook trackpad scroll yield a reverse direction tweak?
i think the developer has it reading the scroll direction from the OS instead of the pad? or something? it's the only synth i've tried that does this.

Just got my SM One licence. Awesome. Thanks Bulent :tu:

I code and test on Windows, that's why

On OSX it's all reversed I guess, will have to test it again.

i think it's because i have my scroll mode "un-natural".
but still worth checking out ;)

How did his wavetables end up in Synthmaster One then? :)
