I'm really looking forward to this. When I think of Virus C, I think of insanely beautiful pads and soundscapes, hope we can get a few demonstrations of these. If you want or need beta testers/sound designers, I'm all in
100 High Quality Soundsets: Omnisphere 2, Dune 3, Tone 2 Synths, Pigments, Uhe Synths, Halion, Spire, and others.

Sorry, but if you are referring to thisAnjey_Olaf wrote: But the developers have stated on the Official Forum FLOWSTONE the beginning of a great work of a few weeks ago. And the main topic was the 64-bit native support operating environment updates.
then I don't think this may be understood as any kind of official proof that Flowstone 64 bit is in the works and may be released in foreseeable future. This is more like "yeah, we know that people want this but we can't promise anything whatsoever". I would just accept the fact that for the time being there is no sign that Flowstone will ever go 64 bit and release the 32 bit plugin (assuming that there is actually something to release). If there is enough demand, you may think about coding or outsourcing a custom bridge later.ScullEd1981 at the DSP Robitics forum wrote:Hello All,

And that brings us to 64 bit - of course we’d love to do that but it’s not easy. It’s been on out radar for a long time and we are going to be looking at the issues again over the next few weeks. If this is vitally important to you then maybe it’s best to wait and buy in if it eventually comes.

Hello. I have seen this message. But most of all I learned about the development of the closed group FLOWSTONE in FB. According to one of the immediate developers FLOWSTONE already implemented features native support for 64-bit processing (no double precision float, this function was in earlier versions), it remains to recompile some libraries such as Ruby. The next release will be the most informative FLOWSTONE and show what awaits us in the future.recursive one wrote:Sorry, but if you are referring to thisAnjey_Olaf wrote: But the developers have stated on the Official Forum FLOWSTONE the beginning of a great work of a few weeks ago. Hello. I will make a few intro and demo. But it will be a little later. I also plan to make a preset on the similarity parade VIRUS C.Touch The Universe wrote:I'm really looking forward to this. Concerning sound design and create presets we are very interested. Before release, I will notify you and will send you a personal message CELL licensed version for learning and work.

First it was "the Official Forum FLOWSTONE" then "the closed group FLOWSTONE in FB"Anjey_Olaf wrote: But most of all I learned about the development of the closed group FLOWSTONE in FB. Well, thanks for the info, looking forward to the release. I think 32 bit is fine for the time being.

The first mention of the continuation of the work with all the details were in FLOWSTONE group FB. Later confirmation of the information appeared on the appointed Official forum. What I learned from the developers directly gives hope to 64-bit will support in the future.recursive one wrote:First it was "the Official Forum FLOWSTONE" then "the closed group FLOWSTONE in FB"Anjey_Olaf wrote: But most of all I learned about the development of the closed group FLOWSTONE in FB. Все будет хорошо коллега.
There are two ways FLOWSTONE or death of the project, or 64 support.
In our case, everything depends on money earned in the 32 version of the CELL.
If we make enough to attract outsourcing and porting on MAC OS and WIN64, the platform flowstone will be over, and if an update with support for 64-bit export will be sooner than we earn necessary sum, then the 64-bit version will be available immediately after purchase upgrades FLOWSTONE.

I don't get that video, seaside landscape, with some specs, and then a quick overlain pic of a basic GUI outline.W23 wrote:Nice video

I will be very interested in this synth when it is available as a 64-bit VST, my system is strictly 64-bit, from the ground up, NO 32-bit anything allowed

Actually... me too. Same for Adam's Viper. Won't buy anything with the sole promise of a 64-bit at some point... especially as i don't see how Flowstone would become 64-bit in foreseeable future, and, porting of the modules will take some time too.thecontrolcentre wrote:I'll be waiting for the 64 bit version.

For what I know, the only way to come up with a 64 bit "version" of a Flowstone plugin is to make a custom bridge, like G-Sonique do. The Jbridge creator offers such service but the price is a bit high for small DIY comanies (and then it will be essentially still a 32 bit plugin running via a bridge).
On the other hand, many Windows DAWs have bridges and those which don't may load 32 bit plugins via Jbridge, it's still supported and updated.

Frankly, i haven't made very good experiences with bridging, either the GUI has been glitchy, or loads for 20 seconds, or there have been issues with the virtual keyboard capturing, or other stuff. Also, none of my hosts have a bridge (Cubase Artist 9, and Studio One 3), Cubase 9 even being 64-bit only now.... i can understand why devs are still using frameworks like SynthEdit, or Flowstone, but, time is running out for 32-bit, and if the devs of such framework don't get their act together soon, it'll be game over for them, because, who will want to restrict the customer base for a commercial product to the few 32-bit users, and Windows computers, if you can do 32- and 64-bit, VST, AU, AAX and what not.
Sorry for the debate on principles, but i feel like this is worth pointing out, because devs have to know it. Anjey can't expect many sales being 32-bit and Windows only. And, considering that the amount of sales decides on a possible 64-bit version, i don't see how this could happen, unless it's done like recursive mentioned, with some sort of custom bridge. But that'll still just be... a bridge. With the potential issues of not working properly. Also, this won't solve the non-existant Mac version.

Well, now they know it. So what?chk071 wrote: Sorry for the debate on principles, but i feel like this is worth pointing out, because devs have to know it.
The best thing the devs can do when the plugin already exists is to test it in a 64 bit host under Jbridge as throughly as possible.
