He's definitely responding to email. I heard back from him just a couple weeks ago.

I am really looking forward to this synth / sound design tool coming of age. One thing that would make me buy it right now would be a tutorial vid or article on the steps, in Cycle, to take to create non-pitched sounds. A post in this thread referred to partial envelope (more specifically "release"), but also changing the pitch of a partial. I guess what I need to know is how to model a non-pitched (ie complex unrelated partials I guess) sound. Or if there is another tool for that? I think, for example, that it could be likened to working in a 3D program and dulling out a 3D chrome ball, where the specularity or reflectivity is essentially analgous to organized harmonics. How do you keep the envelope similar, but disrupt the harmonic content enough to have it work percussively?

Hey, any tool to help me build a library of unique percussion hits would be appreciated. I bought Geist, Nerve and Breaktweaker and Iris2.

Geist does best at grooves (Breaktweaker has no swing or groove function..) Still all of them, including Iris2, are fantastic, and I would love to incorporate the use of Cycle for sound design into the workflow of these bad boys.

My second hope is that Cycle two has real-time multitouch capability.

I am however afraid that no progress has been made January 2015.
Could be that the developer is hard working on Version 2.
I see Cycle is up to V1.8. Many impressive incremental updates.

Worst yet is the absence of progress on the other projects.

Daven sent me a note immediately after I emailed him about his Forum link generating an Error message. He said "I haven't closed the forum; I'm not sure what the issue is with that... Cycle development is on hiatus at present. However, whenever Cycle 2 is done I'll send out an email."

Thanks for this. I really wish he had more time for his projects. Cycle is an amazing creation and I was really excited to have te distortion/convolution module as a seperate plugin. Nothing to do but wait.

I wish for his sake as much as his users that he was more open about his 'away time'. He always just drops off the grid and then eventually somebody gets back to the community after contacting him directly. If he left with a "have to work for a few months, be back in March" it would be much easier to gauge than just going dark like this every time.

Still a great plugin.

Yes Cycle 2 is on my list to get if the workflow improves.
It looks like it has tons of potential.

But then again if customers cannot download their software
I will pass up on the potential.

No updates or news, but I just checked the user downloads page and it is working again so anyone wants to backup the latest version might be advised to do so while it's possible.
