Hmm their servers seem to be pretty overworked, I bought this today, first in the afternoon I could not even get past the first purchase code check, now I can't activate because of a server error...

First impression: pretty interesting, but is it any faster than editing a drum machine by hand in a piano roll view? I will see, but I am a bit suspicious. But hey it was cheap and I'm into experimental things :)

Maybe something like this as a live tool might be more interesting, being able to have only one bar looping all the time during the song, and just dial in changes from a bank 8 knobs for each bar.. Maybe I will just build my own with Bitwig :D I might be possible with the new stuff in V2.

It is effective for creating polyrhythmic percussion parts. The product also makes good use of randomization with a decent amount of customization (randomize all parameters or just a subset); keep hitting the "Surprise Me" button until something inspiring comes up.

I've been playing with LR the last two evenings and it was worth the $20 for the randomization features alone. Now that I've watched some of the tutorials and have a better handle on it, I'm really digging it, actually. :phones:

Is it a VST fx or VST instrument?

It's a drum instrument/sequencer - standalone and plugin.

There's also integration with Live and Push, but since I'm on a different DAW, can't comment on those.

The vst would not open in Studio one 3. The stand alone UI and text was So small. Almost unreadable. Developer has no fix for the scaling issues. For me, not worth the $20. Got a refund and learned a lesson that yes, even though the year is 2017 we have to test software before buying to see if it displays properly.

I am using the LR plugin in my DAW as a MIDI drum sequencer (LR audio muted), playing through a MIDI track in the DAW routed to Addictive Drums 2 VST as my drum instrument/sound source. With the LR transport in sync and slaved to my DAW transport, I can use the LR GUI to vary or randomize the drum parts until I hit something I like. I can mix the drum audio within AD2, or use the individual audio outs from AD2 in the DAW console.

Then I can record the pattern to the MIDI track in my DAW whenever I have a pattern I want to save to my DAW project.

This way, no MIDI file import/export is necessary, and the drum tracks play back in context with any other tracks in my DAW.

I'd say for $20 ... yup!!! Faster than working in a step sequencer or piano roll :D

I like the concept. I think that it could be better.

I think transfuser is easier to use and quicker work flow.

I like Transfuser too. I picked it up with the Air bundle last year. I probably just need to spend some more time with it. It did come with over 4GB of content :tu:

Anybody heard anything from this company of late?

Nothing on Facebook, Twitter or their Blog since Feb, no replies in their forum, no responses to support emails.

Don't know, haven't had a need to reach support lately. I see a couple of official replies in their forum from May. Their website is still online, and they have a tel # posted under contact info.

This is currently heavily discounted again. I have a couple questions if there are any current users that would care to answer.

1. Someone said this only works in 4/4, is that true? Seems pretty limiting for such a deep and complex program.
2. On a similar note, how does this handle polyrhythms? From what I've seen it only does even divisions (quarter notes, eighths, sixteenth, etc...) and triplet divisions. Does it do any other kinds of tuplets?
3. How are the built in samples? Good? Usable? Waste of space?
4. I saw a logic user said it worked well as an AU within logic for him. Any other experiences with logic?

Any other user experiences would be very welcomed. Thanks for any input in advance.
