Well if you wanna wait wait, but this synth has really simple workflow. also it's gonna work on the iPad / iPad Pro (they have different UI and those will be included among the desktop skins as well!)

Synthmaster One has stuff that doesnt exist in SM 2.8:

Wavetable synthesis
New waveforms library sampled from analog synths (not at single note, we sampled at every 3 semitones)
New wavetable library, mostly created using our internal wavetable editor.
New factory presets, we'll hopefuly release with 500 presets but that'll grow to 700-800 hopefuly by the end of the year.
Congratulations, Bülent!!! I have been testing the demo, and this is a fine synth. I really like the new GUI design (everything is BIGGER) and the new wavetable features. The included presets also really show off this synth.

You have really raised the bar for what I will be expecting with SynthMaster 3

Just a small suggestion, but it would be nice if you could make it possible to enable/disable the individual FX with just one click, as in Synthmaster 2. :tu:

Yep :D

The name father of the synth is Geary Yelton, he's a senior editor at Electronic Musician Magazine. At the 2016 NAMM Show we were chatting with him and I mentioned him about my plans for a "simpler" SynthMaster. I was gonna call it something like SynthMaster LE, but then he suggested SynthMaster One would be much better, and we said why not?
With all due respect to Urs, there really is no comparison here to Hive, except maybe for the graphic layout. I really like the other u-he synths, but Hive just never clicked for me, soundwise.

This synth is much closer to it's big brother, SynthMaster 2, and in some ways goes beyond it.

I don't find that the one layer thing is a drawback at all. Many of the great presets in SynthMaster 2 are done with just one layer. If you were to use the 2nd oscillator creatively, as well as the sub oscillators, there really is no obstacle to designing complex evolving sounds with this thing. :tu:

Virgiauskas wrote:One quick question - for 29 bucks Synthmaster One is kind of a no brainer, but still as I have Serum already, what can this wave-table synth bring to the table?
I'd say the biggest thing is the sound. I don't have serum, but from what I've heard and what people have said, it sounds very digital and sometimes harsh. SMOne, although not VA, sounds warmer to me and it isn't difficult to get VA sounds from it. Check the demo yourself. I think there is a good mix of analog and digital presets for it and using the filters, drift, analog single cycles, etc it is easy to get warm round sounds.
Love Serum and use it on everything - the sound has a lot of depth. But compared to Synthmaster, it's overall tonality can be very bright - and sometimes that's not what you need. SM is a little warmer and I think I prefer the sound of the filters ... :) it'll complement Serum nicely.

Just installed. Looks great at a first sight. Old version was a little bit confusing.

But, have anybody successfully imported old preset banks?

I have the 'all bundle' but it do not recognise automatically the preset banks. Tried to copy banks to Synthmaster One presets folder. It showed the banks in the browser, but when I try to use the sounds my Cubase 7.5. crashes.

What to do, how to import older banks and do they even work with Synthmaster One?

It's a different architecture so no compatibility with presets from 2.8.

If you wait until SynthMaster 3 is released later this year, your old banks should be good then, as that will be the "upgrade" to your existing synth.

and finally, PayPal is working on the credit card purchase page. Right under the "complete payment" button there's a "Pay with PayPal instead" link. Click on that and you're redirected to PayPal

Please note that there's a 5% / $3 (whichever is greater) paypal processing charge.
Hi
I just went to purchase the $29 crossgrade via Paypal and there is an additional $10 Paypal processing charge, any idea why the processing charge is so high?

Sorry about that. Until PayPal starts operating in Turkey again we're gonna have to keep that policy :? You can always purchase with your credit card though and there's no additional charge when you do that.

does this cross grade have a deadline date or does it continue if I want to wait a bit?
I'm broke from all of the holiday purchases, even though we're only talking about a $7 difference I don't want to pay a 33% processing charge for this.
Thanks

Crossgrade does not have a deadline.

As I wrote above, when you pay with your credit card there is no extra charge. period.

So... Anybody besides me getting an invalid archive error when trying to open the SM1 zip file after downloading?

The download of 'synthmasteronewindows64setup.zip' apparently completes successfully and shows file size as 42,278,500 bytes.

I'm on Win7x64, and neither Explorer nor 7Zip will open it. Do I need to load something more exotic, like WinRAR?
