Maybe I'm alone but I love the blackish one. Actually, I love how bothe Glur and Drop have the same color scheme.

It's going to be a LONG TIME before it's released if history has anything to say about it.

Thanks to everyone for all the great feedback!

Here is an updated render of the UI with a more standard Cytomic black horizontal brushed metal type look, and I've also updated the name to use Cytomic's standard product font:

I have the VHT V-Drive, which is a TS on steroids, and it includes a voltage control (the continuous non-dent circular dial on the back top) for either starving the power down to 4.5 volts or increasing it up to 15 volts for more headroom, or leave it in the middle for standard 9 volt or anywhere in between. Great versatile pedal for the tone tweaked, and you can find them used for $50-$100. Couple different clipping modes for low drive all the way into a higher gain distorted overdrive. It has a no diode clip mode which you use the pedal as a tone selectable boost using the high headroom 15 volt or you can drop it down to 4.5 volts and lower the tone and texture and get some low to very gritty high gain very useable touch responsive fuzz tones similar to a Big Muff. The Depth is very handy for controlling the low freq cutoff to match your guitars pickups to the amp your using, i.e. lower it some if you have higher output humbuckers to tighten up and take care of wooly woofieness and bass flab or increase it to really fatten up thin single coils.
Thanks for the heads up on the silver mod, I missed that one! I can't find a schematic for it, nor for the VHT V-Drive, so I have no way of really knowing what they do, if you can help out with any links them I'd be glad to look at them.

In The Scream I have included mods for the TS-808 that allow you to have a more open sound, you can lower the high pass filter in the distortion section with the "fat" switch (to whatever you want - you can even increase it!), and remove the low pass filter post drive with the "bright" switch, and the asym switch will allow you to pick custom sets of diodes (or none!), so you'll be able to back them off to give less drive. That should allow you a lot of freedom to customise the tone.

There is still a decent chunk of work to make it ready for release, but it's all donwhill from here, I expect it out within a month

Would love to see some less ubiquitous but still popular pedals emulated, maybe an original guv'nor or some well done EHX emulation... Ibanez gets all the love :p

But, judging from responses in the thread, I think I might be in the minority on that.
The TS is a great little circuit and deserves its popularity, and doing this right will hopefully put Cytomic firmly on the map with regards distortion pedal modelling. Don't worry it's pretty easy to do more, I'm keen to tackle the RAT, Big Muff PI, and possibly the Fuzz Factory (I need to have a listen to one first!) and even the MXR M-104 is there is demand.

Soundwise I would like to hear what it does for synths.
Thank for the feedback, I'll post some sound demos soon. It sounds great on synths because of all the mods :o

Yep, same oversampling options as The Glue and The Drop, realtime x1 (off) to x16, and render up to x64.

As much as the original screams this The Scream will scream, but gives you lots more range of tone as well :)
