Truck-stop sushi hosts are almost as bad as expensive ones except one thing. You lose less money, but you get even bigger bathroom attacks.

i have mixbus 2,i liked it when it wasent a "full blown" daw,now i just think its to bloated with stuff my other daws do better, but liked the mixing in mixbus, dont know if i will upgrade, havent used mixbus since ver 3 came out,it was to buggy on my system with all the bloat added

Does nyone using v4 found a way to delete buses? The sessions are opening systematically with 8 buses, and I found no way to delete them. Worst - they are alway showing in the mixer, and there is no way to hide those strips either.

Ever read the manual? You can hide the buses (all tracks etc) on the left in the mixer.

I love Mixbus! It's been very stable here for a long time. I haven't upgraded to 4 yet, but I will when I get the chance.

Thanks. That panel comes closed in the current version (at least it appeared closed when I opened old sessions in v4). Solved :)

Manual? We don't need no stinking manual :hihi:

Honestly though, VERY difficult to nav a man these days. Usually the buzz-word you are searching for doesn't exist, isn't in the manual, leads to some generic quip, or whatever. You can generally find more interesting info with a google.

Yes, sometimes manuals are not really helpful. But I would give it always a try. Maybe you learn someting else while searching for another solution.

Bought the update to Mixbus 4 and it's running very nice for me on my Linux DAW and looks good too!

Well, that's why I had the smiley, :hihi:

I use manuals as much as possible.

The installer file is already marked to be run as admin per default. But yeah, I tried it manually as well with no luck. I've sent an e-mail to Harrison support regarding this issue.
UPDATE:
While Harrison support wasn't able to solve the problem, as they had never heard of this particular issue before, I managed to solve the problem myself.

My Win7 x64 rig is configured to host the OS on the C: SSD drive and then there are two separate SSD's for samples (D:) and software (E:). So Mixbus3 was installed to E:\Mixbus3 and I tried to install Mixbus4 to E:\Mixbus4, which didn't work.

Why? Because it seems the installer executable can't install to any drive when there is less than 500 MB of disc space on the SSD system drive (C:) --- which was the case here. Probably it uses some temporary storage of C: even while it installs on E: So I cleaned up some 1 GB space from C: and now it installs without any problems on E:.

For the record I'll add that Harrison support replied very fast to all my e-mails, but as I said they weren't able to solve this issue as they never had any similar reports in the past. Well, somebody got to be the first...

Now I'll test Mixbus4 and enjoy that Stereo Width knob on the mixbuses that I paid $39 + VAT for. :)

(Yes, I'm serious. That knob and the VCA faders was the only reason I upgraded. Of course what I'm really looking forward to is the v4 upgrade to Mixbus 32C, but for this we'll have to wait until May 1, 2017.)

I upgraded, and everything is working great. There are some big improvements in this version.
It looks good too!

Got it here as well, plugin scanning still takes forever, but
quite a few welcome additions.

Seems quite stable (in win 8 anyway)...

-Cheers
