I noticed a little bug, but only if you don't use the default skin.
For example the Prototype skin doesn't have a config dropdown in the FX section.
Reset to defaults, copy,paste settings.
I am still having issues with importing midi files into the Arp sequencer, Synthmaster 2.8 and Synthmaster One share that issue on Bitwig 2 and Ableton Live 9.
I've tried importing one bar patterns, half bar patterns and quarter bar patterns and each time Synthmaster imports the file ok but the resulting sequence is completely wrong in Synthmaster. Any attempt to directly drag a clip from Ableton into Synthmaster results in a hard crash regardless of bar size.

Could you possibly email me a test MIDI file?kurodo wrote: I am still having issues with importing midi files into the Arp sequencer, Synthmaster 2.8 and Synthmaster One share that issue on Bitwig 2 and Ableton Live 9.

Well, right now we're swamped with issues (mostly registration/installation), so that'll hold for a while. I havent even started my work on the fixes.michaelbrac wrote:The update supposed to be today , right.

Just noticed that the "sine" wave is not a sine wave. It's got loads of harmonics and sounds a bit sawish.
Also noticed that SM1 doesn't recognize waveforms in subfolders. If I stick the Adventure Kid waveforms into SM1's waveforms folder I have a crapload of folders which gets very unwieldy very quickly, and I have a lot of single cycle waveforms and Serum wavetables that I'd like to use.

Looks like a Sine to me with 1 harmonic;Rogue Trooper wrote:Just noticed that the "sine" wave is not a sine wave. It's got loads of harmonics and sounds a bit sawish.
Be sure not to boost the input into the filter. Don't drive the filter.

Technically, that is incorrect, as you wouldn't call the fundamental frequency a "harmonic".exmatproton wrote:Looks like a Sine to me with 1 harmonic;Rogue Trooper wrote:Just noticed that the "sine" wave is not a sine wave. It's got loads of harmonics and sounds a bit sawish.

Sure..technically you're right. Was merely pointing out that there were no 'additional' harmonicschk071 wrote:Technically, that is incorrect, as you wouldn't call the fundamental frequency a "harmonic".exmatproton wrote:Looks like a Sine to me with 1 harmonic;Rogue Trooper wrote:Just noticed that the "sine" wave is not a sine wave. It is the filter being driven and the default volume is really loud as well which is causing clipping. I've set up my own init preset with the oscillator volumes set to 1/2 the maximum, no input gain on the filters, cutoff to completely open and the levels are a lot more sensible. If I set the wave to sine, there is still an additional harmonic, but it's so low, it probably isn't audible and it sounds like a pure sine.
Technically, the fundamental is the first harmonic. The second harmonic is the first overtone.

There is also the word 'partial' and they all mean the same thing, and for some reason the fundamental is distinguished and that depends on to whom you ask https://ask.audio/articles/synthesis-su ... s-partials
