I just installed v. 1.5.3 on my machine and imported the "Inspired by Jupiter" bank and when I try to select the first of the presets it crashes. Anyone else have this issue?

Not me, zerocrossing, this bank works perfect here at home (same version 1.5.3 with "Inspired by Jupiter", on Mulab 7 64-bit on Win10 Home Edition).zerocrossing wrote:I just installed v. 1.5.3 on my machine and imported the "Inspired by Jupiter" bank and when I try to select the first of the presets it crashes. Do you have the same issue with other presets of the same bank ? And with other banks ? (Pandemoxium for example)

Always thought Oxium was underrated.
Very useful synth.

Maybe I missed it, but are there other sources for the sounds. No Flash Player hereLotuzia wrote:( Reserved for Audio and Video material )
Let the sound speak for itself and listen to Oxium : 12 minisongs and dozens of clips of separate instruments in isolation

I know a little about Oxium, but I was wondering if it was originally modeled after a certain hardware synth?

No, not at all. It is a conception and a design from scratch.Examigan wrote:I know a little about Oxium, but I was wondering if it was originally modeled after a certain hardware synth?

They all seem to work fine except for the first preset of that bank. Crash and burn every time. Latest version of Live 64 bit running on latest Windows, also 64 bitBlackWinny wrote:Not me, zerocrossing, this bank works perfect here at home (same version 1.5.3 with "Inspired by Jupiter", on Mulab 7 64-bit on Win10 Home Edition).zerocrossing wrote:I just installed v. 1.5.3 on my machine and imported the "Inspired by Jupiter" bank and when I try to select the first of the presets it crashes. Amazing synth though. Not sure the "Inspired by Jupiter" sound anything like a Jupiter 4, 6 or 8, but they do sound good.
I've always thought that Oxium was the perfect synth to have a wavetable oscillator option. Something really cool and interesting.

It is certainly an issue in the prt file or in the inf file of this preset.
Each preset is made by a prt file and a inf file. All these files are text files.
What is the name of the preset which crashes your DAW ?
In the directory where the inf and prt files are stored, you will find, by browsing the inf files, which one is bugged.
In each inf file you have these tags:
!NOM_PRESET#------#
!NOM_BANQUE#------#
!NOM_AUTEUR#------#
!NOM_PROJET#------#
!NOM_GENRE#------#
!NOM_TYPE#------#
!NOM_FEELING#------#
!DATE_CREATION#dd/mm/yyyy#
!DATE_MODIFICATION#dd/mm/yyyy#
!USINE#------#
!NUMERO_PRESET#------#
These are the public declarations of the preset, in the inf file. And the synth values of the patch are in the corresponding prt file.
Could you find, in your directory "Oxium", the inf file (and its prt file) where the tag !NOM_PRESET is the one having the bug? If you want you can send these two files to me by PM. Otherwise just tell me what are the two filenames and the name of the preset. But the best would be to send me these two files so that I compare with mines and send you back the fixed files.

It's an original design. This said, due to the fact that I own several old analog Roland synthesizers ...BlackWinny wrote:No, not at all. If someone is interested in a comparison between the 64 Jupiter 8 factory presets and Oxium, you can listen to the 64 A/B clips here :

Thanks a lot BlackWinny. If this can't get sorted out, I'll see what I can do for ZC.BlackWinny wrote:It is certainly an issue in the prt file or in the inf file of this preset.

I proposed a while ago a WT project to Xils. Unfortunately, they were not at all interested by WT synthesis. Maybe it will change in the future ...zerocrossing wrote: .......
