That said, it doesn't mean you can't find them on a search with your favorite search engine.
So you want us to do the research in a thread that you started, because you are a spineless paper hat that won't provide any references to back up your "opinion". Grow some bollocks will ya.

I know Minimal Systems used to do that, but they don't anymore and changed their name now (I don't remember what their new name is though).

No.

Leave std alone will ya?
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I won an award at a school swimming gala when I was 8. Maybe I should I use it on my website to promote my packs. :ud:

Post

You think that's good? I won an award for the ''egg & spoon'' race. A silver medal in fact. So there.

If I buy something from you, you can say that some of your clients are award winners.

That's a great idea. Maybe I could offer a discount to award winners ... :hyper:

I never take any notice of that kinda bullshit, especially comments from artists ive never heard of

Demo, then buy or delete. Doesnt get much simpler.

I can understand marketing hyperbole. But if the first sentence of a product description already contains a plain lie, it doesn't inflate credibility somewhat, but imho the company credibility then goes completely down the drain. Bad move...

What I love even more than fake awards are technologies that are "exclusive", "unique" or even "patented" when indeed they are not.

Post

Can music software running on a regular computer be patented at all?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Post

You can patent near anything I believe. I once drew up a patent application
for a friend, had to write it and diagram it for him. His idea was to take
these sheets of sticky (on one side) glow in the dark material that he bought,
go at them with a hand held paper hole puncher, and stick them on the sights
of a gun. Cheap glow in the dark gun sight kits.

He was awarded the patent, a full page photo spread and write up in guns & ammo.
I was the photographer, the photos were pretty impressive actually, which I think was
the reason for the full page spread.

Anyway, he eventually went out of business being unable to meet the demand.
His thumbs were sore from all the hole punching.

True story, kid you not...

deadly point,
very illuminating

we got the hole story there

bwaah bwaah

:D

edit- sorry... I just knew there had to be a pun or two in that one.
Why didn't he build a simple stepper motor winding machine?-
or a mechanical aid? Sounds like it would be doable.
Maybe I can draw a machine for him-
with 2 pneumatic rams to punch(with a hole punches)-
and a stepper motor to feed the nipped film

I get the product now, it goes on the tip of the barrel, yeah?

As a translator specialist I have to deal with marketing bullshit everyday. Grown natural immunity to it :hihi:

Good thing I don't buy a product until I see what it actually can do for me in a show-and-tell video. You can write anywthing, but for the plugins it's the sound that matters. You cannot pretend the plugin sounds better than it actually does.
While workflow or GUI is personal preference, I can see that not many developers advertise it as a main point. When they do, it's often about the lack of workflow at all - just pick a preset and call it a day :hihi:
