Yup- I have been Hanging on to my Live 9 licence (even though I have pretty much switched to BW) just in case Live 10 does something amazing. It's been what, 4 years now we have been 'voting' for the updates we want/need? I gave up and switched when I realised everything I wanted from Live, Bitwig did. I think Live is 'all in' with Push and developing hardware/live performance packages - Ableton want to be Native Instruments (and why not, you can't pirate hardware!)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Also, check out this thread on the Bitwig forum. Someone made a vocoder from Bitwig Modulators. He also built a simple synth... again using modulators.dformd wrote:Bitwig seems like it could become my dream software modular. That said, I’m aware of the potential for disappointment when purchasing software for what one hopes it will become. Nevertheless, it is quite inspiring right now. As well, if I really do find myself wanting to create my own devices (before Bitwig’s promised((?)) modular environment arrives) I can load in Bidule as a plugin and go to town.

Even before the full modular environment is opened up, there are lots of interesting/fun modular devices waiting to be built on the new 2.0 system.

I'm not so sure that BW will release their Modular system anytime soon.
That's a major building tool for adding stuff periodically and keep the subscription model worth the fee beside overall feature upgrades.
Not so with M4L.
After Live 10, the whole picture will be clear.
