I'm waiting for arrival of my new Monoprice DMX lighting controller (https://goo.gl/Xc45Wp (https://goo.gl/Xc45Wp)), which has a MIDI input for triggering light scenes. We've programmed a click track for our music, and I'm wondering if Tracktion has the ability to send/embed MIDI notes in the click tracks so that we can automate our lighting instead of having to step through chase scenes manually.

The controller can accept MIDI channels 1-16 as input, and listens for MIDI NOTE ON commands, 00 through 119.

Any thoughts?

It sounds like the dmx board listens to note ons on a channel of your choice. If those notes are your clicks, then that should work.

Wow, if that's all it's going to take then I'll be super impressed. I'm not sure how the click track is set up since I'm not the one who created it. I didn't even think about the fact that the click track may actually be MIDI Note ON commands anyway (or could possibly just be converted to them).

I'll reply back with how this works for future Google knowledge. Thanks!
