Thanks for reading, I hope I am posting this in the right forum.

Can Ableton Live assign multiple output channels (more than a stereo pair, such as three pairs with differing signal content, etc) to a VST effect? If so, can you point me to a video or link that has the details?

Is this a capability that Cubase does not have?

Are there other DAWs that should be looked at for this type of support? I am interested in running several channels of audio out to hardware and back into VSTs. The VST Effects and effect versions of synthesizers. I am running Windows.

Cubase Pro 9 certainly has this capability.

You could rig that up in Tracktion using a Rack.
