BTW: It's a common perception...rather than explain it, I'll just give you the Yahoo links, see if you can find the similarities.

The OP did not ask What's Not To Like About The Beatles FANS ?
did he ?
That nonsense flamefest could be extended to any musical genre and artists fans.
The OP wanted a critical analysis of the Beatles music.
You personally should love "Strawberry Fields" because it opens with a haunting flute played on a pseudo intellectual synth, "The Mellotron."
This track was way beyond its time in 1967, and easily stands up to any scrutiny 50 years later.

Sorry mate, the title is "what's not to like about the Beatles" and that last link is exactly that. Not that it matters, conversations ebb and flow. And no, it could not be said about any musical genre or artists because few artists in particular achieved the kind of notoriety that the Beatles did.dellboy wrote:ghettosynth wrote:BTW: It's a common perception...rather than explain it, I'll just give you the Yahoo links, see if you can find the similarities.

At any rate, I'm simply pointing out that it is is a common perception and it doesn't have to do with people just liking the Beatles, rather, it's about how they express their love of the Beatles. Like I said, it's not unlike StarTrek fans.

The links you asked me to click on to prove your point that the Beatles music is not to your personal taste were all insults to those who are fans.
ie:
Why Are Beatles Fans so Annoying?
Why are Beatles fans so terrible?
Arrogant Beatles fans?
I have stated I am a Beatles fan.
Ergo, in your pseudo intellectual opinion I am all of the things you asked me to click on.
To date you have not made one semi intelligent answer as to why you think the Beatles music has been overated by five generations of people, both by musical experts, and the masses of people who love it just for what it is. Nor, why it is often used in schools to demonstrate to pupils how popular songs are constructed musically.
Other than.....
"Beatles fans are weird".
