Wondering if any of you know if there is a way to
speed up loads times when previewing loops (Bottom right window) as ACID is playing in realtime? Is there anything I can adjust within the program to improve this?
I have a good system. P1.7mhz 640MB ram. It takes me about 2 seconds to load a sample while playing back in Realtime. This may sound OK tomost but as I have such an amount of samples to scroll thought, that it would make a huge difference if I could improve this loadtime.
The samples range from 1 bar in lenght to about 4 bars.
Thanks for any reply here,
Ste

I used to have the same problem in v3. In fact, if the audio was running and I tried to add or replace a new .wav, it would just stop playing completely. Seems to be fixed in Acid Pro 4 (plus there are a lot of useful new features), so you might consider upgrading.

I don't know how RAM is allocated with Acid3(I stopped using after switching to Sonar), but you are a bit low on RAM(relatively).
640 is a strange number...If your RAM is a 512 stick and a 128 stick, you'd do better to pull out the 128 and keep it that way or add another 512 stick...
