I'm logged in to Jrr and can't see anything about blowouts.

Is it the same price as adding the GROUP coupon?

no.

go to the very upper left corner (above the JRRShop logo), there's a "Blowouts" link, with a separate login page (login should be the same you use for regular login).
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Ah, for some reason this isn't visible in Safari on my iPhone.

I never knew about the blowout login, appears even cheaper than with coupon codes :(

not always. for example, right now, PSP B-Scanner is cheaper in the main shop than in the blowouts section. generally, they're pretty much equivalent as long as you know the right coupon codes :)

Anyone else having trouble getting RC-20 to show up in your DAW? I've checked everything I can think of, the .dll is in my normal VST folder, and my other XLN plugins (incl. DS-10) are all good. My DAWs still can't see RC-20.

Contacted XLN support and they just sent me a canned response. Apparently they didn't bother reading my note.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Cheers,
Eddie

You might want to put what DAW and what OS you are on. Just Saying.

Yes, sorry I've tried Studio One and Harrison Mixbus, both under Win10. Neither sees RC-20.

Thanks.....but you see the dll in your vst folder......
And clearly you have done a rescan in studio one right...
what I do sometimes with cubendo, is temporarily move the dll to the desktop, restart the daw.. close the daw, move it back and restart the daw....sometimes that works for me wiht cubendo and studio one when waves decides to crash for no particular reason.

Yes I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rescanning, rebooting, etc. multiple times to no avail. Really strange, never had this happen with other plugins.

I had problems with Ableton Live (64-bit) - it was weird. I always create manufacturer sub-folder, so installed RC-20 to an XLN sub-folder of my main vst folder. Live didn't display the sub-folder - Live's behavior is that it does not show the sub-folder in the browser if it is empty or does not contain a valid vst.

I tried manually copying the RC-20 to the root vst folder, and Live recognized it (and it worked), but the XLN online installer kept generating warning dialogs that it was in the wrong folder every time I started Live.

I tried reinstalling a few times; rebooting, etc., and eventually it worked. I have no idea why (sorry - I realize this is a lot of "no help". But there's something strange going on. I never contacted support 'cause I did get it working. I'd at least try uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting - the usual - a few times.

Be interesting to see what's going on.

Rename the dll or folder it is in or move to different folder.
Always works for me.

Post

Oh man, thank you for that tip! I renamed the .dll to "RC-20" instead of "RC-20 Retro Color", rescanned, and lo and behold, it finally appeared. Working great now. I owe you one, buddy.

I don't remember having to do that for any other plugin, but hey, there's always a first time, eh?

Eddie
