Sorry, I was wrong it's 3 gb. That is just traction 7. Why confuse people and give totally different names to two almost identical products?

It's ridiculous, there needs to be a light installer with just the app and included plugins for the basic version - no interest whatsoever in demos for addon plugins and even less in samples

Because the bigger the install file, the more pro is the software.

Having used Waveform for a few days now I can say I love having a proper mixer option. Its very easy to customize to your liking and really cleans up the editor view for me. I also had a while last night to put the new midi editing functionality through its paces after watching a quick walk-through video. I have to say some of the midi composition tools like the chord functions and the pattern generator are killer for songwriting purposes. Little things regarding midi that should've been quicker in prior releases like instant quantize and transpose are now right there in front and easy to use. If you guys with a second monitor haven't tried un-docking the midi editor and putting it on your second screen, try that as it makes for a pretty sweet workflow.

Why change the name of the app when its identity is pretty tied to that name? Might have been better to change the company name. "Waveform" is pretty generic, especially with audio software. It sounds much more like the name for an audio editor than a DAW.

How's the stability for you so far? Im considering moving to Waveform since I adore some of its features, but I hear stories of the DAW back when it was "T" being notoriously unstable, specificly with VSTS, and I am unable to check stability for myself at the moment...jjpscott01 wrote:Having used Waveform for a few days now I can say I love having a proper mixer option. I think they felt it would be more marketable and bring a wider audiance into tracktion. Personally I feel it could do the oppisite but who knowsJace-BeOS wrote:Why change the name of the app when its identity is pretty tied to that name? "WaveForm" would not have been my preference for a new DAW name. I actually prefer your suggested name of "TrackStar".Kalamata Kid wrote:Perhaps Tracktor?
