I use to play a real Hammond B3, but that was indeed quite awhile ago.
My musicianship started long before software synths and effects were even part of music creation.

What I mean is that what we use to hear / listen to strongly affects our expectation of what is "right" and there's a good chance that what most people nowadays consider to be proper organ-sounds are actually parodies of real organs with far too much modulation, filtering, waveshaping and what not going on - perhaps you wouldn't have found it sounding plasticky at all ten or twenty years ago - that's of Course just an idea - I'm not claiming that this is indeed really the case but it's what came to my mind when reading your posts here.

Possible.
Like I said, its been awhile since I played a real B3.
Still.... the sound sounds as I described, to me.

That's exactly why Donald Leslie has created those rotary speaker :)

It will be in it, with a few tweaks ;)

There is a v1 version in Falcon but this standalone version is an evolution of this one.
Still, the new algorithm will be featured in Falcon in a next release.
That's great news

Yes! This has been my only complaint about B5 - the Leslie is not adjustable, especially the ramp up time. Any idea as to when this will be implemented in B5?
Running Logic Pro 10.4 under Sierra on a late 2012 27" iMac wth 24 GB RAM :tu:

Between that and the new controller mappings, I'm very excited about that update! :tu:

Being a sucker for rotary effects, I'm pondering if I should add UVI Rotary to my collection or not. Since I own (a license for) B-5 Organ, I'm going to get the (further tweaked) Rotary sound anyway. Still, I'd like to have the separate Rotary, but for one fatal omission.

As far as I've been able to figure, there's no way to treat a MIDI CC as a toggle – meaning, that one momentary press on, say CC#64 will shift up from chorale to tremolo, and the next press will shift the speed down again. This option exists in VB3, in B-5 (thank you, Arno!) and (after some nagging) in PSP l'Otary and Melda Vintage Rotary.

I contacted UVI support on March 30 with this request, but no reaction yet. Of course I'd like to catch the UVI Rotary intro price – anybody know how receptive UVI are to sensible user requests?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Does UVI Rotary allow you to adjust the crossover between the horn and drum?

I don't see anything about a crossover in the manual. The classic MDA Leslie plugin had a crossover feature that made it very versatile. http://mda.smartelectronix.com/vst/help/leslie.htm

As said, in P.M, we will have a look

Nop, but you can adjust separately the horn/drum volume.

Any possibility this might be added in the future?

It's a shame to not offer crossover flexibility, especially considering the incredible level of control you have given the user over other key parameters. Thanks.
