AFAIK, the development of Z3TA started as a hardware synth concept. So, nope, no intentions to emulate the Virus.bmanic wrote:I think this was a rumor started by the VSTi community.. one that I frankly can not understand. They sounds absolutely nothing alike. Everything is "wrong" if it's supposed to be a virus emulation. Envelope shapes are all different, filters sound nothing like the ones in the virus, oscillators are completely different sounding (no matter how much you try to tweak), effects are all completely different sounding and behaving.egbert101 wrote: As for the Virus, Cakewalk Z3TA+2 was supposed to be in the same territory.
I have absolutely no idea how or why it was considered "sort of like a virus" when it's a completely different beast.
What modern synthesizer would you like to see emulated in software?

Nobody cares how it sounds if it is unique, innovative and is made of wood and tubes.Cinebient wrote:Mmhhhh...the demos sounds like a 13 dollar appevilantal wrote:bmanic wrote:This one (yes, it's a $13,000 mono-synth):
Good luck getting any CPU to manage though.
YES!

YES!
At least it sounds better when he put the FX on. Sadly he had no JAWS!

No modern or retro synth is worth emulating any more. We need new synthesizers and new ideas. Everything else has been done and overdone. We need new performance oriented synthesizers that can change sounds in real time, and we need more acoustic modelling synths. Real-time performance and automation is the all the shizz these days. Static sounds are out.

No he won't get sued. Why? Because his **** sounds nothing like any of these synths he claims to emulate. Actually he doesn't claim anything. He says they are made with generally stock Synthmaster modules. So far for the emulation... but people will hear pink elephants when they see a nice GUI.chk071 wrote:Lol... guy is screaming to get sued...pigfront wrote:You want you got it http://kbrownsynthplugins.weebly.com/. Well, i wouldn't call my Roland Emus "Rolend XXX", or my Korg emus "Chorg XXX", no matter whether they suck or not. That's a bit cheeky. They really don't have to be called like that. Or the GUI's blatantly copied. Why does he even spend time on copying another VST's GUI? Or make a software emulation of a software emulation.

I was hoping someone would say "You can't have a DIVA emulation, it's already an emulation"
There goes my whole practical joke

If there is any limitation, it is with people... not the amazing array of sound creation tools we have todayDuX wrote:No modern or retro synth is worth emulating any more.
