I tried installing Gobbler today it would not install, then tried updating iLok
License Manager same thing...both same problem...some updates missing.
Looked online, found the Windows update and downloaded but that same
update that is needed it will not install, it says not needed on my computer.
At the same time my iLok completely uninstalled and now i am screwed...
Anyone?
Thanks

I think you should just re-formulate the thread header. Should be: So...I'm out of the Gobbler.
Just get rid to the Gobbler. Better loose just your Softube plugins than all your valuable iLok plugins. That's how I did.

On a note related to Softube, I couldn't get Gobbler to install successfully on a fresh install of Windows 10 (seemed to be related to Gobbler service permissions issues, as the service would crash on startup and cause the installer to hang) this past week. After digging around on their site, I found I could just download the Softube plugin installers from the Gobbler site and install them individually, rather than having to deal with the shitty unreliable Gobbler unified installer.Harry_HH wrote: Just get rid to the Gobbler. I'm having so many problems with iLok that I'm thinking about going 100% iLok-less. It's becoming a real pain as I never know if my sound design projects are going to load or not. Terrible...

You can download the Softube installers directly from gobbler's website. That's what I did as I didn't want to install gobbler itself on my Mac.

Or you can download them directly from Softube, Ive been nowhere near Gobbler and refuse to use it or their site

What exactly does Gobbler do, other than, it seems, gobble up your ilok licenses?VariKusBrainZ wrote:Or you can download them directly from Softube, Ive been nowhere near Gobbler and refuse to use it or their site

Its a licence sales and management system for iLok protected products, so all your software is in one place. Its does some other shit Im also not interested in.ghettosynth wrote:What exactly does Gobbler do, other than, it seems, gobble up your ilok licenses?VariKusBrainZ wrote:Or you can download them directly from Softube, Ive been nowhere near Gobbler and refuse to use it or their site

Really? Where did you see that? When I go to softube.com/download it only gives you a link to download Gobbler. I'm not doubting you. I'm just not seeing it.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Or you can download them directly from Softube, Ive been nowhere near Gobbler and refuse to use it or their site

Go to your account on Softube and scroll to bottom of page where it says Download and theres a link to My Downloads which is what you wantmasterhiggins wrote:Really? Where did you see that? But what you probably do NOT want is to give Gobbler your iLok account password...VariKusBrainZ wrote:Go to your account on Softube and scroll to bottom of page where it says Download and theres a link to My Downloads which is what you wantmasterhiggins wrote:Really? No need, just log into Softube, its not mandatory to register for Gobbler, though they make it seem you doHarry_HH wrote:But what you probably do NOT want is to give Gobbler your iLok account password...VariKusBrainZ wrote:Go to your account on Softube and scroll to bottom of page where it says Download and theres a link to My Downloads which is what you wantmasterhiggins wrote:Really? I think it's meant to be a pun - ilok/luck...Harry_HH wrote:I think you should just re-formulate the thread header. Should be: So...I'm out of the Gobbler.
And it's just more... as if PACE itself wasn't enough.
