Help exporting audio in Logic 5.5

I have audio and MIDI files from a customer that were recorded in Logic 5.5 for PC. I don't own Logic but the customer does, and he gave me the setup disc, manuals, and dongle. I was able to recreate the project and the mix but now I need to export it to a WAV file for the customer. I use Samplitude and I have experience in Sonar, and in either of those programs I would just use the "Export Audio" option to create a WAV file of the mix, but I can't find that option in Logic. I have been reading through the manual and it makes reference to "glue" but I can't find that option in the Logic program. I searched YT but there are very few videos for version 5.5. I'm hoping that some of you long-time Logic users can point me in the right direction.

You should be able export the Logic projects as OMF and import them into Samplitude as Samplitude supports OMF. Here's part of a review of Logic 5.5:

If you drag a Standard MIDI File (SMF) into your Autoload document's Arrange window before you import the OMF file, your new file will contain both a correct tempo map and all of your custom Screensets. I do wish that Logic could automatically convert split stereo files into interleaved files when it imports OMFs, however, so you didn't have to recombine the left and right from separate tracks.

Thanks for the response, but Logic 5.5 doesn't have "File -> Bounce". The File -> Export function is also limited.bustedfist wrote:https://support.apple.com/kb/PH13231?locale=en_US
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks. Part of the issue is that the project uses one of Logic's soft synths. So I'll have to figure out how to bounce it to an audio track to be able to import it into Samp. Good idea though.Kraznet wrote:You should be able export the Logic projects as OMF and import them into Samplitude as Samplitude supports OMF. Here's part of a review of Logic 5.5:

In that version, appears the Bounce button's on the main out channel of the mixer.thewonders wrote:Thanks for the response, but Logic 5.5 doesn't have "File -> Bounce". The File -> Export function is also limited.bustedfist wrote:https://support.apple.com/kb/PH13231?locale=en_US

Yes! Cool, I found it - a little button way at the end of the mixer. Thanks.bustedfist wrote: In that version, appears the Bounce button's on the main out channel of the mixer.

What OS are you running Logic on? I seem to remember anything beyond XP caused terrible memory errors as it was limited to 512mb!!

I have a Windows XP partition on my DAW computer and I set up Logic there. It seems to run pretty smoothly considering it's 14 year old software. Of course it's running on an i5 dual core processor which is a bit more that the minimum required Athlon/Duron or Pentium II/300MHz processor.Kraznet wrote:What OS are you running Logic on?
