Program to combine hosts without rewire

Hey...! 8)

As some of you have noticed i was pretty stunned (in a good way) by computer muzys.

The full version offers rewire, but only as a host (right term is mixer?). Ive been looking all day for an multitrack audio sequenser to use with muzys. First big problem is that the full version of muzys isnt availble. Computer muzys doesnt have rewire (i cant find it anyway).

Lets just play with the thought that i managed to get a copy of the full version o muzys (perhaps someone would sell it?), then there would be only a few options availble. Live, i think can act both as a mixer and synth (the rewireterms. A mixer is the one that can recieve audio from a synth. A synth can send audio to other rewireprograms ie mixers). But Live, well, its too damn expensive .. especially when it offers more than i really need and that i already have those functions in cubase .. in one way or another. Another option is Arturia Storm. Its fairly priced and i suppose it can act as a synth. Their website isnt really clear wether it can record audio or not (just playback of audio?). Third option is Project five. No audio recording, but playback. Ive tried the demo before and i kinda liked it. Still .. money money money. Geez .. i want to buy realguitar and maybe ravity(s) asap.

So to my question. Is there any program out there that can combine two audioprograms? Im thinking cubase se + muzys, or perhaps muzys + kristal audio engine. If kristal could act as a synth, everything would be splendid - but no, since its freeware propellerheads wont let them, rewire is only for comersial products (probably the reason why computer muzys doesnt have rewire).

That program that will let two computers connect via lan could maybe do the job. Im not really sure of what it can do. And if it would work, i would need to have two computers.
Since you cant run two asioaplications at the same time on a computer i guess im in trouble. But do you guys and girls know of any program that can do this?
Or any other solution?

I believe FL studio can be a rewire slave, so that's another option.

Cmuzys can host vst's, right? If so, EnergyXT has a very nice sequencer which is getting better every day. It comes in the form of either a VSTi or VSTfx and is pretty cheap (40EUR) for what it does. Check it.

yeah, and orion as well.

FL Studio also runs as a VST inside other hosts. So maybe it'll run inside Muzys.

Yeah, you're much better off with a currently developed application like Orion or energyXT.

eXT is on my permanent referal list as a host-independant tool for enhancing any existing application, not to mention it's valid use as a stand-alone host.

Whatever combination you decide to use, eXT should be a part of it, IMO..

I've been using FL Studio producer to record audio and it works as both a rewire slave/client and as a VSTi in other applications. I haven't tried recording audio in rewire slave mode, but there is a free trial so you could download it and see if it works.

What ever happened to Smartelectronix Freewire?

Anyway, maybe you can do something like you want with Plogue Bidule?

Is it possible to use WDM and ASIO on the same soundcard at the same time?
Maybe i could sync via midi or something.
The best solution so far is to use Muzys with Live. Record audio in muzys and then save it, importing it to live. Maybe melodyne would be better i dont know .. still have to check what melodyne costs ;)

<edit>Now, i know! :scared:
My wallet says :uhuhuh: and :x

I guess Ableton and Celemony says    :P

In all my time on this forum (not THAT long, relatively), I've never seen someone with such enthusiasm for CMuzys. ;)

I don't get it...

But I'm happy for you! :D When/If Muzys resumes development, Crackbaby's going to be the first user I think of.

There's always the option of using MIDIYoke or Hubi's Loopback, and Virtual Audio Cable, output from one into another...

However there would be syncing problems...
