I had a go off the pro 12 and tbh it didn't blow me away neither! I thought the pro 6 sounded much better. That Deep mind looks really interesting and ive heard ppl talking about it alot, and its sound great i cant believe the price too seems like a bargain for sure.

But out off all the synths i played the Access virus ti2 was mind blowing! i have never played one until today and i think ive found my synth! The sounds were so big and bright and i found that it could also do other sounds other then Trance so im going to get it. Plus the keyboard felt really good too but its expensive....Cheers to all

I do a lot of stuff with monosynths and effects, but, when I'm actually playing chords with long decaying sounds the extra polyphony matters quite a bit.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Nord leads, although I think that the various incarnations of the modular are pretty special.
I agree. I was one of the people who thought they missed an opportunity to make the 12 at least bitimbral (I still am), but having a 12 voice poly is something I'm used to (in software) and it does come in handy, especially when you realize that if you do a 3 voice unison sound you really now are limited to 4 notes at a time and if you use any sort of long decay... well you get the idea. Also, the Deepmind does sound great, and how they've integrated the effects with the modulation system is excellent. Just being able to do something simple like control the mix on a reverb effect by velocity can make a sound really dynamic in a way that's a lot harder with most other instruments.

I also think the stuff from Nord sounds boring when compared to stuff available in software. If you don't use software, they're stuff does sound very good. I especially think they did a nice job with the A1's filter.

One thing I noticed when I got the Virus Snow is that Access keeps the fact that it's a kick ass wavetable synth a secret. Most demos are so laden with hypersaw stuff that I think people miss it. If you're into Trance (I'm not) then it's a no brainer.

The Virus has become a goto synth for me for a companion synth. Have a Ti and a Ti2 and always one of them paired with something else with a good sequencer.

Beatmaker 2 on iPad with empty keyboard presets on 4 or 5 nidi channels out to Virus
Quasimidi Polymorph paired with my Zaquencer running 4 channels on the Virus
Radikal Technologies Spectralis 2 sequencer tracks to about 2-5 Virus channels
MV8800 with 4 or 5 tracks out to Virus

If you need a synth that does a lot more than the genre that made it famous, it's a chameleon synth. Extremely powerful for mulitimbral use and polyphony.

I think the interface is intuitive and easy to get your own sounds out of or modify presets to get a sound you like in very little time.
