You're not listening mate...harryupbabble wrote:Well, even if I could, I don't really want to be Bob Geldoff or lately, Bono, because all that other "deep" stuff takes time. It's like Bruce Lee. He was so busy making movies that his skills as a true fighter is questionable. So yeah, to make music that I intend to make I would be happy if the common people are made happy by it. If the people who think they have a deep deep view of whatever it is that matters more, if they are not interested, then I can't do anything about that. You are suppose to deliver the message of a thick book like War and Peace into a couple of lyrics line. But in my case, the book wouldn't be anything like War and Peace... it would be more like Johhny Got His Gun, but first I have to reread it.
Make whatever shit you want for whoever you want, as long as I don't have to listen to it that's fine... Make people happy if you want... It doesn't mean shit to me.
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Not every thread. I've started many threads that didn't turn into this.foosnark wrote:Why does every thread on KVR turn into this eventually?
It's just that somebody said "stop listening to all that garbage" and I felt I had to respond.
It's a response like "Okay dad, go back to listening to Rick Astley, I like my Led Zeppelin."
Or "Okay dad, go back to listening to Led Zeppelin, I like my Ramstein"
Fair enough.Robmobius wrote: Make whatever shit you want for whoever you want, as long as I don't have to listen to it that's fine... Make people happy if you want... It doesn't mean shit to me.
Okay, I gotta go, to that place that Alicia "Cher" Silverstone calls the mall. BBL. Peace.

Who is this "you", there? For my part, it isn't that you "seem" anything. That's what you've done.harryupbabble wrote:And also, why do you continue to converse with someone that you think seem trite and vacuous?
Anyway, you and I have yet to have a conversation. Take this thread (please).
The "Your" in the thread title is just a prop for you to type and paste in all this junk. You just don't care, and people notice. Conversations involve give and take. You don't have anything to give us.
When you have something to say, you'll find a way to say it. But what will you do, reflect on that remark, or do this here.

"You" is Rob. That "trite and vacuous" phrase came from him. It was directed at Rob.
It's true, I'm no teacher. I mostly soak up stuff. There's been a few people here that I learned from though. I think I've learned stuff from other "long posters" and a lot of others that I forget and all threads are pretty much a "learn English" type of education. I just mostly relay articles and stuff that I've read elsewhere. Like, the two brain hemispheres having different functions. One hemisphere might be built for writing lyrics and the other might be built for writing music.
I've often admitted it. Typing all this "junk" is a good way to keep my typing skills in shape. But maybe it's also good for the neurons.
And this thread, I've learned that not all people have ambitions or if they did, they gave up on it, "life happened", they say. But you are probably right, I soak up more knowledge than provide it. How about this knowledge... in speed scrabble the more composed (you don't panic) you are the better. I mostly know stuff about speed scrabble. Here's another... if you are composed, you are not triggering adrenaline. Also, if you are a slow opponent, you are only triggering boredom. It happens to be true. At my end, at least.
Speaking of adrenaline, I'm off to try to trigger some. Ciao bella.
