Hi all. Another track in a similar style to the last one, sort of ambient-ish lazy trippy stuff (?).

As usual comments and feedback on a postcard to...well, to this thread please.

Sick of calling this Abient-ish stuff so I'm now calling it Electronic Psychodub.

nice track
like the tabla sound + rythm
good mixture of the different styles.
a keeper on my hd.

though a little comment, for me the intro could be a bit shorter(it could start at 0:57).

and a question:
what did you use for the drums and percussion?
and wich synths?
would you share a bit of your secrets?

Quite the enjoyable laid back tune. I loved the arpegio'ed melody that happens a little in the back, yet at the same time I regret a little bit that it stays in one and the same arp. It does tend to change towards the end though, but I feel this in general to stay to much in the same notes over time.

There's some pretty cool rhythmic sounds and sequences happening and the filter movement is quite allright.

Not a bad track at all, but could use some tonal changes over time.

Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated. Sorry for the delay in replying but busy working.

Songs percussion is from 2x Orion (OP) Drum Racks using Oron presets (including tablas) and a chopped up (heavily effected) breakbeat in OP sampler.

Other than that the song use 2x Wasp, Micron, Absynth2, Cam5000 and Synth1. That's it.

The whole song is packed with effects, the arp runs through OP Band FX unit and high, mid, low run through 2 seperate FX for each bandwidth (delays, flange, dist...).

The Absynth chord (03:31) runs through OP Harmonic Resonator triggered by midi notes. Drums are sub routed via QuantumFX to give the bells according to hits at certain freqs.

The opening chord is a Wasp with sweeping Band Pass step delay and verb running through Metal Mickey (great freebie btw) FX.

There isn't actually much to this but because of how heavy processed each track is my DAW maxxed out at around 98%.

Really need some more memory.

Really wanted to cut this down even further, it was over 10 mins when first finished but couldn't find anywhere more to trim!! Rsmus7, I know the intro is a bit long (although 0:57 seems a good place to start) but it matched the way the track ended so kept it. Bit of a stickler for structure as well, something I know I have to get away from.

Mystayhr, agree with you over the tonal changes. Actually tried to do this but couldn't seem to find anything that really worked!!

Most of it sounded shit!! Also with the CPU maxxing out was quite hard to experiment but yes could have could with a bit tonal change.

Again, thanks for the feedback. Something to think about for next time.

Yeah this is definitely not ambient, much more of a chillout or trippy dub groove or something. ANYWAY ...

WOW! First let me say the production is mesmerizing. The groove is just sublime. Everything is just perfectly layered and sounds so smoooooth. Really really well done!

The song isn't too long IMO; I like a song to have some length to it, so it has a chance to really sink into the ole brain. The interlude 4-3-2-1 chord sequence got just a hair stale at one point, but really the production is so soothing it was hardly noticeable.

Overall, this is a fantastic chilled groove - really enjoyed it!

Me too! Streaming it right now for the 2nd time, and "I'm Lovin' It!"

Very natural and flowing groove, with interesting sparse sonic turns early on to pull you into it. I like it. But...it does seem a little long winded in the middle. Also, for me, the zoomy filter on the drum mix seems a little heavy handed against the rest of it.

But overall I liked it very much!

Thanks again for the comments. pretty blown away by reaction to this one. This isn't really a style of music I know but sort of fell into writing it. Bought my DAW for house and trance.

Was going to move styles but I think I try another like this.

Bithead, now it's uploaded and I've heard it a few times actually wish the filter on the break was a bit more subtle. Sucks in a little too much, but once they're up they're up.

Winamp does a good job. Any version from 2.80 onwards plays ogg format natively.

I like this track too, but felt that the arp sequence goes on for a little to long and could do with being cut and brought back in, that way the track would have greater movement.
Anyway, enviable mix and production that I really enjoyed
