What MIDI sequencing software would you reccommend for simplistic multitrack recording? I've tried acid 4.0, cubase, cakewalk sonar producer edition...I'm really just looking for something that's not so damn difficult to use. I want to make songs, not become frustrated over shitty software.

Yes, Tracktion is almost certainly your answer. Download the demo and try it out. Its also brilliant for audio recording/sequencing, and very easy to get the hang of. And it's very stable too.soulata wrote:tracktion.

Wow, I checked out that Tracktion, and it almost seems too good to be true at that price...I mean, you look at the prices of other sequencers: 300-700. I think I'll get it. I only hope it's finally what I need. I've been on a wild goose chase for efficient software and equipment all year. If only I had some good connections for reference. Actually, now it appears that I do.
