I was using the VLC media player the other day and I noticed there is an EQ avaiable in the program. It's in Tools/Effects and Filters/Audio Effects. You could play your files using the VLC player and set up the EQ the way you want or use one of the presets. You can even watch videos through the VLC player by opening up a network stream.
