Did you listen to the song?

"bio readouts are all in the green, looks like she's alive"

 Serves me bleeding right for not cranking it up, then

Heh, was it that you wanted the spoken words links for?
I don't understand the text well enough to translate it, but the concept of the whole thing is working well. Reminds me to some of the poetry/music freestyle things that got popular a while ago.
I was certainly on the look out for new material. However Ive been playing around with speech based stuff for a long time - partly as compensation for the fact I can't sing but wanted some sort of lyrical/human element - and partly as it appeals to me as a poet.

You™ wrote: I was gonna say - I think the song is terrific, but I wasn't crazy about the lines:

"...believe in
anything you feel like
hope it's reciprocal
the tit for my tat"

I dunno, tit for tat gets too double-entendre-ish when broken apart and (IMHO) it doesn't work in favor of the mood of the song. Sorry Ben :( I'm sure I'm missing something because I can't always understand the first line of each phrase, but "tat" doesn't rhyme with "like" even in a Welsh brogue. ...or does it? :) That's not to take much away from your work. You know it's special if it's singled out. And I've already said several times that I really like too.
Yeah, I do have a tendency to mumble the beginning of each line. as for lyrics rhyming... pah... it's close enough... :)...

I was struggling with lyrics for this and Rob was very kind in providing them... I kinda like the tit for tat even if it is a bit "carry on"..."ooooh, tit for tat".... kinda brings song down to earth a little, and adds a little bit of character...

Having said this... next month (theme permitting) I've decideed that I'm going to try and start the lyrics and vocal tune before the rest of the song rather than the other way round... :)

Ben

 I didn't really think you did - I just knew you lived 'round Swansea and brogue is such a fun word to say.

In case it has to be soundscape-ish, this is how it has to be. Has all the required deepness. I wish it'd be longer so I could see where it goes to. Very nice!
Thanks for your inspiring comments about my first entry. My tune ad Majorem was cut down from 4-5min to the first 2, so it has definitely suffered from the 2min limit. :-/

Thanks!
God bless!

Sttjelle, please could you post your 4-5min version of your track in the Cafe? It was my winning entry for sure, and I'd love to hear the full version! Well done; for your first ever entry it was outstanding.

Nope - he was right. Exceptional is the word I'd use as well. 8)

has it been decided whether winner chooses the next theme, or return to the horse trade of yesteryear?
