Has u-he the company approached DSI about an official endorsement?

Both u-he and DSI are well renowned by more or less everybody as far as I know.

So it would be a win/win situation for both parties IMO to join hands, it would also mean a lot of free publicity in the process.

Yes, we sent a few mails back and forth which ended kind of "let's talk about this". I had hoped to meet Dave at Superbooth, but he isn't there

I guess we both don't wnat to waste time and money on lawyers and stuff for an issue that maybe isn't one. If anyone thinks that u-he has no respect for Dave's work by making Repro-1/5 must be utterly deluded. Likewise, we never expected an official endorsement, there won't be one, all we hope for is to be able to say something like "The 40 year old vintage synths that inspired Repros have come a long way since, check out what Sequential is doing today: -link-"

Ultimately, I think that endorsements over emulations are a bad idea (as far as the progress of the emulation is concerned). A lot of the time the endorsements come with certain stipulations that can cripple the potential of a plugin. To remain "authentic" you can't just add anything to it. While I'm sure U-he doesn't have a crazy idea of something to implement (I'm talking something weird), it's nice to know they CAN do it if they so choose.

It was a pleasure to see and talk with the u-he team again this year Moreover I had the chance to test Repro-5 and Zebra 2.8, the new UI is really awesome and made me think I had a new u-he synth to play with.

Nice. If I understand this correctly there will be a public Beta for the Repro-5 and there is no release date yet?

Less of a skin, more of a 100% UI improvement for me.

So, will the Repro5 be a CEM version of the-polysynth-which-cannot-be-named-5 or will it be a SSM version? That is, will it be above (not) mentioned polysynth version 2 or 3? If it's a polyphonic Repro-1, I guess it will be CEM. I don't have a strong preference either way. I am just curious.
