Windows people, how is it going? I've not done as much testing as I'd like on Windows, and this odd shutdown issue hasn't exactly instilled me with confidence so it would be good to hear if it's going ok

Fine with me... as long as it's not 40+ products with just slightly different circuits derived from the same basic source. I'd be more than happy if there is only 1 Fuzz and 1 Distortion module that can be modded ad inifium, maybe even more simplified "overdrives".andy-cytomic wrote:Sorry for the confusion, what I meant is I'll do more products - eg I'll do a RAT and a Big Muff Bi etc - each one will be its own product for USD 29.Compyfox wrote:Now this is something to look forward to - an update with more circuits in it.andy-cytomic wrote:The price is still USD 29 for The Scream and won't be changing. If this product goes well then I'll a bunch of different circuits in the same manner, with full component value editing and also an easier page with combos to select the most important components from lists.
Everything else would look like a cash grab IMO - and we have way too much of that happening with developers already.
And looks like the Windows version is out... time to take it for a spin!
EDIT:
Haha, guess that was to be expected - sever has been hammered. Can't access it. Well - it won't run away.

With each purchase of USD 99 you get a 30% off voucher, but we are yet to automate the system. If you haven't already had a discount and you've made a USD 99 purchase then please email us and we'll give you a voucher code - we haven't automated the process yet but had to change the old system since too many people thought they had missed out on a sale when the price automatically changed immediately after their purchasemeloco_go wrote:This is bargain already, but would there be any discounts for the owners of The Glue/Drop?
Probably best to wait for another USD 99 product so you can save more money though.

I wouldn't want 40+ stomp boxes, that's not going to help anyone. The differences between many of the stomp boxes is pretty minimal, so I'll make sure that entire classes of device will be tackled with a single plugin, which is what I hope I've done with The Scream.Compyfox wrote: Fine with me... as long as it's not 40+ products with just slightly different circuits derived from the same basic source. (edit: the server isn't being hammered, it's running just fine here for me, perhaps refresh the page in case you had the version with the typo in the download filename?)

Well, I meant I already have both Glue and Drop, so I wonder if I had a chance for a discount on The Scream.andy-cytomic wrote:With each purchase of USD 99 you get a 30% off voucher, but we are yet to automate the system. Anyway, I bought The Scream already. I'm on Windows and all works fine, although the firewall tried to block me from installing the plugin.
PS, on the initialization plugin generates a click. Nothing major, but maybe it can be solved.

The windows version is working for me. In my brief testing I'd say it sounds great and the multiple modes really do give a variety of sounds. I didn't notice anything strange. As soon as presets are ready I think it will be ready to ship. Did I mention it sounds great.

Good to hear things are running fine on Win! Thanks for those that have already bought a copy
I'm off to bed, catch everyone tomorrow.
PS: with regards the click, there is some warmup code in there to keep things low in volume when powered on, will fine tune if needed to make better, but you should here the actual circuit when you plug in the battery - THUMP!

First impressions: HOLY MOLY! This thing sounds absolutely amazing.. and my laptop can only cope with 4x oversampling.. but still. This thing sounds ridiculously "real", for a lack of a better term.
I can't explain it but it sounds a lot less "stressed" than many of the other plugin alternatives of this unit. Anyhow, I need a lot more testing with this but so far I'm super impressed. We all knew this is going to be good but it still manages to blow my mind.
Good work Andy!
Cheers!

That's not fair! You drop this bomb and go to sleep, while I HAVE to stay up and play with this baby!andy-cytomic wrote:I'm off to bed, catch everyone tomorrow.
Just kidding, good night!
Yeah, I know, but IMO there is a fine line between authenticity and awkwardness. There's no need to bring ALL the quirks of hardware into digital, just a simple short fade-in code on initialization should remove the click.andy-cytomic wrote:but you should here the actual circuit when you plug in the battery - THUMP!

This thing is so super deep it isn't even funny! Andy you bastard.. how do I explain to the kids tomorrow why I'm going to bed at 7am when they get up?
Found a bug tho: I can't get the Copy A -> B function to work. Normal copy/paste seems to work just fine though. I was also able to "blow up" the emulation in a way that no knob tweaking made any difference any more. Too bad I was stupid enough not to take a screenshot of the settings I was using. Sorry about that.. Will try to back track my steps and next time I manage to kill it I'll take a screen capture.
