zMors CV Sequencer Trigger Issue

Whenever I drop the CV sequencer into a project and press play or retrigger the sequencer, it either starts on Step 2 or else starts on Step 1 but jumps to Step 2 after only like half a pulse. This behavior completely screws up any attempt to use multiple sequences together or get consistent results.

Does anyone else have this problem? And is there a solution? Maybe some esoteric setting needs to change...? Thanks in advance.
