Hello,

I'm loking for an editor
to batch mix many numbered samples,

E.G. I have two folders, A and B, each with 100 wavs,
and I want

(50% level 1.wav from A) + (50% level 1.wav from B ) = 1.wav in folder C

then for 2.wav and so on
for all 100 files automatically,

which appl can do that?

thanks

lol, you need an apprentice or a crony or flunky.

best i can offer is a really old demo of cooledit.. don't know if it had the script automation or if it's that capable.

didn't i send you like 1,500?? yikes. take a deep breath, pack a deep bowl and fingers go squaredance.

What you can do, but it's a bit tortuous way to do it (but it works great) and you can even tune the mix values

1) rename all the files in the first folder with a renamer program (Flexible renamer is best) in this way : audiofile01.L.wav ... audiofile02.L.wav..etc

2) rename all the files in the second folder this way : audiofile01.R.wav ... audiofile02.R.wav...etc
(the files you want to mix will have to have the same filename audiofileXX with .L or .R)

3) import your files in Protools Free, then, from there, select all the files in the audio chunk list and export them using the Export selected as files (using L+R) function

4) then you can import you LR stereo files in a batch software applying a balance plugin (to tune the left/right mix) and export the files mixed to mono files.

works great.

this works for mono files only, so you'll have to separate each stereo file into two mono files and mixing each channel then mix each L+R back into a stereo file

a bit of work here

thanks guys, I'll try that stereo mono trick maybe,
so far I got fast fingers and some keyboard shortcuts to help
