I searched and don't see a whole lot here about the new E-mu 0404. Anybody got one? What's the experience been like? There was some controversy about the card's 96khz implementation, and some speculation about E-mu closing out old Audigy chips with this. Would love to hear more.
Thanks!
E-mu 0404 ANyone?

I picked one up a few weeks ago. It sounds very good
IMO and performs well (low latency etc.) except:
I've had this weird problem where the card indicates
it is playing audio but no sound comes out! I MAY have traced it to a digital sync issue, but failing that then there is an incompatibility with my system which requires re-installing the card from scratch periodically. The built in effects are pretty weak. I have multiple cards and this one sounds about as good as my MONA which is far more expensive. An excellent value when you look at its IO (lightpipe!) and sound quality.

try this forum for people using the 0404:
http://www.productionforums.com/emu/
and remember it is a support forum so its bound to be full of posts with people with problems. remember that the people who never have any problems don't need support.

The 0404 doesn't have LightPipe (ADAT)IO does it? I think you have to step up to the 1212 for that.An excellent value when you look at its IO (lightpipe!) and sound quality.
