Sonix (in the OP) was the first program I composed a full song in. I also hooked it up to my keyboard via a MIDI interface as part of a school project. Using MIDI was necessary to get past the 4 note polyphony limitations of the Amiga chipset.

Around 1990-92 I remember doing on of my work in a DAW called ...was it Prism? You recorded in blocks then copied them through the song. Did a lot of great things back then. Only external synths as this was well before VSTs.
Loved that program but have no idea on that name. Found it in a review in Keyboard mag.

Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.

This was my first foray into software
I think I was about 9 or 10 when my Dad bought this for me on his Radio Shack Tandy TRS-80 computer
The Orchestra 90! (we thorugh the computer away a LONG time ago... I think I made about 20 songs on there, but of course, I dont have it anymore)

Ditto... I always thought those 2 had the best tracker interface (I also started with OctaMED like many others). As a matter of coincidence, one of the guys I collaborated with on ST3/IT back then was also Hungarian.dune_rave wrote:Impulse tracker and Scream tracker
