after installing the pod xt ASIO audio/midi drivers my Oxy8 is no longer working. Just to be sure that it was the pod messing me up I uninstalled and switched back to ASIO4all and voila! Oxy8 working again.
Anyone had this problem? Advice?

problem solved. I always like to post follow-ups to any problems I have that way if someone else has the same issue and they search on here it might help!
The problem was my USB hub. My oxygen8 was connected to the hub along with my mouse while my Pod was connected directly. I just simply reversed that and connected the Pod to the hub and the oxygen8 directly and ...well there ya have it!!
