So many good reverbs and good prices at the moment.
Best time to buy a reverb but I'm yet to pull the trigger.
I'll test over the weekend, but for now - is this light on the CPU?

When you add the upgrade to cart, it asks you to log in... and as krankyone said your login details no longer work - so it begs the question.. should we create a new account on the new Audio Damage website, or wait for our existing account to be migrated from the old website? If we sign up a new acount now, what happens to our previous licenses etc.theoryzero wrote:Using the link I posted earlier in this thread. The upgrade installer requires Eos 1 being already installed, but doesn't need to be tied to the old account on the old site.krankyone wrote:So I can't log into the new site, but I can log into the old site. But the Eos 2 is not on the old site. So how do I get the upgrade if I bought Eos 1 but am a victim of the messed up email stuff acknowledged by AD on their support page?
I'm not buying anything until I know what the deal is.

You setup a new account, it's a whole new website and backend, they haven't migrated the old details. The old site is frozen. If you're doing the upgrade it just works.MogwaiBoy wrote:When you add the upgrade to cart, it asks you to log in... and as krankyone said your login details no longer work - so it begs the question.. should we create a new account on the new Audio Damage website, or wait for our existing account to be migrated from the old website? It's understood; the question is, are Audiodamage team still going to migrate old accounts to the new site or not? Beacuse if they will migrate data you may end up with two accounts at best, or accounts will be messed up at worst. We lack an official statement from Audiodamage on this I suppose.malachy5 wrote: You setup a new account, it's a whole new website and backend, they haven't migrated the old details. I think the plan is to migrate them. But it might never happen. It's kinda weird how the data is all there on the old site but the download links are messed up, which suggests that the backend database is still operating but that parts of the content management system are broken. That suggests it's possible to import the old database and just set new passwords to random values. But maybe there's no provision for the licence codes for the legacy plugins in the new system that's holding the process up.
As the system functions well enough for the odd update there probably isn't a rush to fix it. If they gradually do an upgrade job for many of the remaining plugins much as they've done with Eos, it may just make sense to slowly have people move over to this new site if and when they buy the upgrades.

I went to change my password on the old site and Chrome flagged up all sorts of danger alerts, non secure etc etc.
I don't know enough about such things to be concerned, but it really is a slapdash way of doing things.
I have had two support emails go unanswered, and been ignored on Twitter (although to be fair, I ignore Twitter for the most part too).
It seems to me that they're more interested in fapping over their modular fetish than actually running an online business the way it should be run. It's a poor show.

Ah I see, I missed the login part and just checked out without an account. I have a handful of plugs from the old site on my old account too, but ever since the Camel Audio debacle I just keep backup copies of my plugin installers now. I think what I'll do in this case is also take a screenshot of my account page on the old site in case I need to prove what plugs I own.MogwaiBoy wrote:When you add the upgrade to cart, it asks you to log in... and as krankyone said your login details no longer work - so it begs the question.. should we create a new account on the new Audio Damage website, or wait for our existing account to be migrated from the old website? Definitely would agree they have been focusing on modular a lot lately, but it's a two man show, resources can only go so far. That said, it seems that based on this post regarding Eos 2 that they are going to be updating more plugs in the future and "would like to port some of the advances we've made on the hardware side of things back in to plugin land." http://analogindustries.com/b1948/Eos+Dos/tehlord wrote:It seems to me that they're more interested in fapping over their modular fetish than actually running an online business the way it should be run. I had to open a second account too. I used my old login and email to (hopefully) reduce any confusion if they ever get around to migrating old accounts. I'm not hopefull, as they screwed up my account when they previously updated the site, and it never got put right, despite many support emails. I got one reply (about 5 years ago), promising a fix, but it never happened. Anyway, I have everything backed up, and Eos is a favourite of mine, so I upgraded.
Compared to v1, it needs more input gain to get a decent signal, but still sounds great. I don't see the point of the swirly orb thing taking up lots of gui space. I expected it to reflect what's going on with the 'verb, but seems pretty random (?). I would have liked a resizable GUI too ...
Still worth the $10 upgrade imho.

Wahoooo!! Audio Damage are back
I love their plugins because they always offer something unique, well designed, well priced and fun to use. Excited to see if they are aiming to release updates and new plugins. Thankyou for the very generous discount to previous Eos owners
Going to put my Audio Damage shirt on to celebrate.

There's a new, third plate algorithm, which is a bit thicker in sound. The others are as before (I haven't A/Bed them but I can't see why they'd change).Zombie Queen wrote:Does it sound different than version 1?

I don't think it matters if it's a one man band or a team of twenty. If you just don't bother answering support requests, it's not on. Taking a few days to answer is one thing, but just ignoring it....nope.theoryzero wrote:

It just smells of frat boys monetising a hobby of theirs rather than professionals building a business.

So you ending up with two accounts then? One with your old plugins and the new one with EOS2 only?
