Wow! 15th post in this highly intellectual thread and no fanboi on board advertising his pet plucks. That's pretty rare, isn't it?

the silliest threads tend to be those in which certain members consistently protest the thread's worthiness, yet still manage to post multiple times per page

we've only just begun
this industry, whether or not you lie to yourself about it, is the function of a finite span of generations and their empty hopes and dreams
soon these people will all be older, and scarier, and have a significantly smaller capacity for social function.
unfortunately, outside of the modern class who find other reasons to involve themselves with audio synthesis, a few of these old - well... not them, but other old people who are fat and stupid and never had the time to commit to being as knowledgeable as the curmudgeons but admire them everyday for their.. persistence - some of *those* people will (you know them, fat, stupid, busy making money to stay fat and stupid), will have children, and those stupid fat well funded children will be brought up with a *dogma* for vintage synth envaluation, right out of the cradle.
they will be rare persons indeed but someone will invariably film them for documentaries and inspire more people to believe they are normal and thus of course really healthy and great, fantastic. you see them on the television. inbred sorts.

xoxos always good for an entertaining sidebar.
Silliest synth thread? IDK there was something recently about "are moog synths the most underestimated?" or something or other. Somebody said something then somebody else said something, then there was another thing that somebody else said.

Synths are pretty silly in and of themselves, they serve no purpose other than to entertain and create entertainment.
They are a function of modern society where the members of which don't have enough to occupy their waking hours.
Playing guitar however will get you laid. :p

It's only because of its odour and decomposition characteristics that we don't line our studios with it as acoustic treatment.

"G.K. Chesterton wrote some interesting things about cheese after a trip giving lectures around England. During his travels he lunched in several roadside inns across England that offered nothing but bread and cheese. He found in these cheeses a quality he describes as “the very soul of song.”
